Snowblind? Wolfy, it's WhatBEERAreYouDrinkingNow?, not WhatSubstanceAreYouSnortingNow? :grinning:

Great, great song, from probably my favorite band of all time. DirtWolf is a pretty excellent beer, too.

    Fantastic song choice!

Those are some fantastic pics, Jane!

Most people will have already suggested the obvious: Orval, Westmalle, Duvel, Chimay. I was going to go with US offerings, but it looks like you may not get those. Ommegang's Three Philosophers and Hennepin may be exceptions; their distro is pretty good.

Since you're an IPA guy, maybe try some Belgian IPAs, or Orval. I personally am a HUGE IPA hophead, but on the other hand, I absolutely love Belgians. They're just a different beer style, heavy on sweet malts and yeast. They're not for everyone, but I have a feeling that you'll be able to find something you like.

For Saisons, try basic pales. If you're not into funky beers (e.g. Bretts or sours), then a funky Saison is not likely to change your mind re: Belgians.

I was going to post the exact same thing. What a tragic and completely unnecessary death. Not to start a political thread, but it's a sad commentary on the system when one of the most influential members of the death metal movement - of all time - has to try to raise funds from fans to try to treat his cancer. This from a community where the most popular bands of all time have sold under a million total records. Tragic.

That's a great beer. Love it!

Frickin' A. Did you rock the 70/30 ratio of storm to wolf? What was your ratio!!! Inquiring minds want to know!

I am enjoying the second growler of FBS this fine winter approach evening. When did we start naming winter storms? When I was young, only summer storms got names. Damn sensationalist weather people...

We started naming winter storms about the same time we had "winter approach evenings." Just messing with you, @Scrapss! LOL.

Yeah, it was something like a 70/30-ish ratio. It was delicious, but the next time I try it, I'm going 60/40 Storm/Wolf. Wait - I think that's a reason to have another one… but maybe tomorrow; I have to shovel in the wee hours…

    Cheers!
