After driving in this mess for the last couple of hours, I decided I earned opening a bottle I've been saving for a while. And wow! I'm completely blown away!

I might get some hate mail, but I enjoyed this better than Lunch. Real talk.

Definitely grab some Insanity, it's great fresh and ages well.
Heresy is too thin imo, unremarkable to say the least. YMMV

Heresy to me is more of a budget bourbon barrel stout. Very good, not amazing, but generally available. I agree that Insanity is in a class of it's own. A little unique, but not as rare as a Backwoods or a Double DBA or something else barrel aged. Good for you if it is regularly available.

That I've had, definitely chocolate yeti (I haven't tried espresso yeti yet so it could be closer to that with its coffee notes). But it definitely has a more noticeable hop profile than Yeti, and perfectly so

Damn. That's like a big FU to anyone in the Northeast right now. (insert smiley face thing here)
But, if you are from Indiana, I'd assume you've dealt with your share of the white, cold stuff. And, many of us would give anything to trade places. Enjoy.

Yeah the beer nerds around here don't go crazy for it (Insanity). Yet it is such a fantastic brew. Yet the nerds don't go crazy for Double DBA neither. I'm sometimes glad to live around Busch, and Natty heads around here.

Been through over two cases and had no floaters. Really good beer when fresh. Been 2-4 weeks old here. Have not had any older than that.

    Enjoy

Although past its best by date of Dec 30, still a tasty beer and got it for a steal of a price at $4 for being past due.

    No pictures but tonight

    Founders backwoods Bastards
    Sierra Nevada Narwhal
    Hardywood Gingerbread Stout

Probably later tonight the BA gingerbread stout.

I'm so happy my wife got me into imperial stouts. The last month the cellar got really packed. From maybe 6 imperial stouts to now 70 imperial stouts (all USA, also barrel aged). I really love USA craft beers. Had some amazing beers in 2013 thanks to the great traders here on beeradvocate.
