Let's give credit to the brews we love that we don't often discuss...

I'll start with Evil Twin Falco.
Was introduced to it at torst. For a long time, I just thought of it as the "torst IPA"... It's quite lovely. Perfect beer when you don't want to drink anything else dense (like another barrel-aged stout)

    So what's your below-the-BA radar-brew?

Drakes 1500 is a fantastic beer when it's fresh, especially for hop-lovers. 5.5% feels like the perfect ABV because you can have a few, and you don't loose anything in the body/flavor (unlike the "session IPAs" that tend to be a bit watery). Can't recommend this beer enough.

Here's my entry. The best Scottish Ale (IMO) and it's easy to get.

Mostly local brews here in Jacksonville, FL since they won't garner much attention outside of Jacksonville, let alone outside the state. But if you happen to be in or passing through Jacksonville, stop by Engine 15 down at the beach or near downtown at Intuition and or Bold City.

Limited releases/once a year: Engine 15 Chupacabra is a killer oak aged imperial stout and so is Intuition's UnderDark. Bold City Dukes Anniversary aged Brown ale is amazing.

Regular offerings: Engine 15 Nut Sack Imperial Brown Ale, Aardwolf Dragon Eyes, Aardwolf Vulgar Display of Hoppiness, Intuition Jesse's Girl, Bold City Dukes, or Green Room Double Overhead

I thought I'd have to go further to see someone mention this. I agree with you, had one tonight with my Butcher-block sandwich.

YES! This beer is absolutely perfect for what it is. Not much talk, but hopefully talk picks up now that it is easier to find and more people get to try it. I don't know that there's a beer out there I'd rather have as a regular.
