Its simple..... bring a beer or two that you cannot get in Georgia to BSP at noon March 15th. Sign in and enjoy hundreds of rare beers for free in the Belgian beer bar.

What we ask..... Don't be an idiot, Atlbeerdog is the one exception. Sign up in advance on the spreadsheet. Bring a few bucks to tip the staff, buy raffle tickets, bid on silent auction items.

THIS EVENT HELPS SUPPORT THE GEORGIA CRAFT BREWERS GUILD!!! So you will be helping to change "Bullshit Bible Belt Beer Laws"

Getting together some of the silent auction items that will be up for grabs that day, I have to say there will be some pretty epic schwag up for auction. Not to mention all the beer that will be flowing. Cant wait.

Is there an estimate for the typical number of people at these things? I'd add up the names and +1s on the spreadsheet, but experience tells me that that doesn't work so well .

    A couple notes about Saturday.....
Event is at Brick store pub/ Belgian bar
Starts at high noon, cleanup starts at 4 pm and they start seating people in the Belgian bar area at 5pm. It's very important that we are gone and cleaned up by 5! Take your beer porn pics early.
If you have a plus one encourage your guest to sign up for a free and easy BA account. Then have them add beers to the spreadsheet.
When you arrive go upstairs and sign in with BA name, check in your beers and add any changes to the spreadsheet
Provided... Tasting glass, water stations, dump buckets, recycle bins for empties, a small area with Ice, a bar staff to take food orders (you need to eat something!!) fill water glasses etc. ( PLEASE HOOK THEM UP)

What you need to provide.... BA acct, Rare or out of state beer that has been signed in on spreadsheet( cold if possible), some money for tip and raffle tickets/silent auction items. Easy peezy

    *** Super important!!!
Eat , drink water , and arrange a safe ride home!! A burrito and a stroll around the square is not a good plan! Looking forward to meeting some new BAs or new people to our area. Lets show em how we do it in the dirty south y'all!

Beer mail me with any ?

Changed up one of my beers to Black Butte 24. If anyone has 23 we'd have ourselves a 3year vert. Takers?

Also, if anyone wants an IP trade for a Black Tuesday BM me

It's always a blast! Wish I could go and provide some verticals, but it just wasn't meant to be this year...

Ya'll enjoy. Looks like a good lineup. I will miss this one for my older grandson's 5th birthday.

I guess I will have to share my '09 Bourbon County Stout bomber with close friends (on another day). It may be a mistake to save it one more year for the 2015 HMOG. I may open my '09 Black Ops to compare the two. Don't have as much in my "cellar" as I once did.

Ya'll be careful and drink plenty of water in between rounds.

Is a Founders Sweet Repute & a Clown Shoes Vampire Killer acceptable for the event?
I know they were once available in GA, but would be up for sharing.

This is one of my favorite Atlanta events every year. Haven't missed one going back to 2008 (maybe earlier), even before they were called H.M.O.G.

I love anniversaries, and there are a couple of significant ones this year. 2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Georgia popping the 6% cap. Some folks may not remember how bad the beer scene was in Georgia prior to the law being passed/signed in early 2004 and then going into effect on July 1st, 2004. About 97 of the top 100 rated beers in the world could not legally be sold here. Thanks to some hard work by Georgians for World Class Beer that is no longer the case.

I believe another big event in 2004 was the Brick Store opening the Belgian Bar ("upstairs and to the left"!), heralding the arrival of a wonderful new world of beer into Georgia. Someone from BSP correct me if I'm wrong on the date.

In honor of these two anniversaries, I'm planning to bring a few items from the "cellar," all brewed in 2004 - and all above the old 6% cap. Not sure yet what will make the final cut, but some possibilities are Stone's Double Bastard, North Coast's Old Stock, Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot, Avery's Beast (it was 18% and in a bomber way back then), DFH 120 Minute IPA, Thomas Hardy's, or J.W. Lee's Harvest Ale.

Looking forward to seeing everybody there tomorrow!

I added the Black Butte 23 (and a few others) but can't make it until 2pm. Hold the mini-vert of BB until then!

Super excited for Tomorrow, getting the Brick Store ready now for the madness. The spreadsheet is growing like wildfire as well. So many big beers, ounce for ounce beer and water is the way to go.

I'll try and make it for a couple hours at the beginning. I'll also see if I can find an older Black Butte, need to check....
