    Beer review #736. Grand Teton Wake Up Call Imperial Coffee Porter.

    Vintage 2011.
    The local store had 2 bottles left so I grabbed one.
    Very nice, but the coffee has definitely mellowed.

    My wife and I went out for lunch at When Pigs Fly. She had Sparkling Raspberry (hard cider, Chambord, and raspberries). I had Southern Tier 2xOne. We were both very happy with our selections.

    Obviously an older picture... my bottle says 9.2%. I'm lost with this one. It tastes fantastic, but it's more like a porter to me than a stout. Insanely drinkable. Drinks like a 5-6% porter. The price is great as well.

    I'd kill for some Black Note or KBS by the way. It shouldn't be so hard for me to find...

    I'm having a Southern Tier Gemini for the first time. This tastes very good and for a 9.0% it's easy to drink. The only problem is the high price so I just bought one.

    Had a Paulaner Salvator Double Bock last night...doing a little comparison today...enjoying a Crown Big Bison Ale. The taste test is in and the reviews are final...the Bison wins by a horn...both are very good but the Bison is a little richer and in my opinion that is what makes it a little better...cheers!
