I was trying not to have a second beer, and I see we're still on the first page, but alas, in the hopes of clearing out somehow homebrew bottles to hopefully make something new in the near future. Here's my Late Winter ale still drinking fairly good.

Well......this is interesting. I would say it is like a toffee laced Newcastle Brown. Light in body and alcohol. Nothing special but enjoyable

What do you do when you're getting a snowstorm in mid April (5 inches and counting so far)? You open your beer of beers and after every glorious sip, you look out the window and say "Fuck You Snow!"

This is probably my 5th or 6th bottle of Golden Delicious over the past couple of years.

Touted as an "American tripel," it is a strong pale ale aged in apple brandy barrels.
This particular bottle strikes me as particularly tart - like biting into a granny apple - crisp and juicy, too.
If you like tripels, sour apples, and barrel-aging (or any of that stuff in combination)...

I had to swing over to RI, up to Warwick, to pay off my wife's car loan. Less than 2 years, and paid off in full. I decided that was good enough reason to swing by Julian's in Providence and celebrate.*

    Cantillon Classic Gueuze

I saw the bottles there on my previous visit to Julian's, but I figured, "Hey, if they've got Cantillon in a bar, surely they'll have it at Nikki's!" I was wrong (but I did still pick up some nice beer at Nikki's), and I decided to correct my mistake the next chance I got...which was today.

This was my first Cantillon, and was definitely worth it. Fantastic Gueuze. Am I going to routinely drop $18 on a single, 12.7 oz bottle? Nope. Am I glad I did it once, not knowing when I'll get the chance to try it again? Yes.

    Cheers!

*Admittedly, being anywhere near Providence is really all the excuse I need to enjoy your guys' craft beer scene.

Loving the pictures/resolution/effect of the new phone... but is the size/ratio creating any issues on browsers? Are the photos stretched/squished? Message me if there's an issue, I can recrop in the future, but don't want to hijack the WBAYDN thread....

    Cheers!
