A little "Johnny Hash" from Sweetwater.. Would be a top tier DIPA if distributed wider!

Enjoying this guy while cleaning up my brewing rig.. Got a Amarillo/Cascade American Wheat, and a Kolsch with Sterling and Vanguard hops in the fermenters rockin at a cool 64*.

I think this is the best description that one could give for Speedway. It's remarkable how flavorful it is for a non-BA impy. I can think of a few beers that give it a run for its money, but what makes Speedway so special is how much flavor Alesmith pulls out of their ingredients and the masterful way they blend those flavors.

I frankly wish I lived closer to CA (for a lot of reasons), so that I could taste what Alesmith does with the rest of their beer catalogue without the inevitable month-long wait for their beers to hit the east coast.

It's a DIPA with Citra Hop Hash as the main hop. Amarillo to bitter, Mt Hood and Simcoe to dryhop. It's probably their best Dank Tank in a long while. If they would make this beer year round, drop the abv to 7% from 8.5%, I think they'd have a clear cut winner here. It's damn good.
