    Yeah, this was last night. But I liked the beer (Possum Belly Pale Ale) and I dig the logo glasses. At Monks House of Ale Repute/Gandy Dancer Brew Works in Sioux Falls.

    This was from last night, not as bad as some people say, but not worth the price of admission IMHO (very glad I tried it though). Ton of cinnamon and pumpkin flavor as it warmed. Enjoyed Rue d'Floyd much more.

    Tasty Czech lager beer. I had the Staropramen Granat (amber lager) prior to this and the taste is very similar, only it's a bit lighter and paler. The taste and color of Staropramen Granat is quite similar to Zlatopramen I think (I imagine the specs and ingredients are rather similar between the two), and Staropramen Premium follows along the same lines. Staropramen is very popular as an import in Sweden, to the point where it gets some scorn for being a generic Czech import macro (owned by MolsonCoors), but I think it's a very tasty beer. It's dry yet has a distinct malty taste (the color leads me to believe that there's something more than just pilsner malt involved), with a good but mellow bitterness (not quite a pilsner imo). It's pretty much the epitome of balance within the modern pale lager style.

    Holy crap, Saturday has kicked off with a bang! It's an overcast, rainy day in CT, and it's beautiful.

    I'm enjoying a happy little accident from our local nano-brewery, Beer'd: One Night Only IPA. It ended up about 1.5% ABV higher than the brewer intended, so it's not a recipe they think they can re-create (hence the name). Turns out: it's a delicious, delicious accident.

    If you're a local, get to Beer'd and try this before it's gone (bring an extra growler for Mystery Bag, too).
