    I've only had one bottle - took it to a friend's where we did verticals of the Event Horizon and Lindley Park. Close to the end of the night when I whipped it out.... then I opened the beer! Anyway... need to snag another and sample when I'm not lit like a firecracker. It underwhelmed that particular night.

    While not my favorite RIS, I always enjoy it and am looking forward to some fresh ones soon which I prefer. Had a couple Two Hearteds with the brother-in-law earlier; sister and him stopped by unexpectedly to return some stuff. This is my "1st Nightcap?" too :stuck_out_tongue: Cheers! :slight_smile:

    I was merely looking to make an interesting photo - never even heard of the term until you wrote it.... still, there's supposed to be an element of self deprecation involved, according to the webbernet. That would insinuate the beer I was drinking was a lesser brew? Or, simply lesser than the KBS bottles behind it? Oh well, the definition I read used the word "unintentional," which very much applies here. Whatever the case - I had some great beer and learned a new word. You stay classy, Beer Advocate.

    I enjoyed it! Brown Ales is usually a style I overlook because I haven't had many in the past that I've enjoyed...this is one is an exception and shame on me!! :slight_smile:

    It was not intended as a slight in any way. I thought you did this intentionally as in "well played". The humble part would be the Spatan beer which I can find on my local grocery shelf. The brag part would be the many unopened KBS bottles in the background, which have never appeared on my grocery shelves and I have yet to see on shelves of the bottles shops I frequent.
