Sam Adams Octoberfest

 

Currently drinking a Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA.

 

Started this morning off with Side Project Abricot (sic) du Fermier at Zwanze Day. As someone who has never really thought "sour" beers were her thing, I learned a lot today! I got to sample so many incredible beers today, some from WLV, but more from people sharing-- thanks to @BourbonBob, Robert F, Dave R, Julian, Tom and so many other great guys who generously shared some really beautiful beer with me and for very gently and patiently busting my sour cherry. I wish I could post some great pics, but I was way too busy trying the beer!

I am drinking Good Vibes from Voodoo Brewing. Sitting on my front porch listening to the Saturday night blues on the radio and watching the Pirates game on tv while fireworks are going off in the distance. On deck Simon Girty a Belgian Dark Ale brewed with wild yeast from an up and coming local brewery Draai Laag. Worth checking out if you are ever in the "Burgh".

Well, just got back from the aforementioned friends picnic/party and took some juice along, which I just picked up today!

NO! Not this OJ!

Not really into this whole sessionable fad that is going on right now, but this offering from Saucony Creek is just tasty!! Sorry for the crappy pic, but my phone is just a stupid phone.

Had a FW Bretta Weisse at Row 34 earlier. Now onto Batch #2.

 

first time trying this one. didnt really pick up on the coconut, but still delicious. had with BBPt5 and thought prop was really on a different level.

 

This guy ain't 1/2 bad either!

 

I keep wanting call this beer the Big Muddy... mental issues

 

Not that I was trying but for 700 I am having my first added beer. A Chicago beer opened with a Chicago bottle opener.

 

Got to get some Oklahoma Mojo working. Prairie Bible Belt next...
