I find myself happily thinking of 7 Monks often. That place is great and the bacon wrapped dates are crack. Deerings is in my thoughts as well. Good town, up there.

Only thing missing is the lined chalk. Great brew BTW!

First of the season...yeah, brandy barrels and pumpkin beers go well together.

Had an obnoxiously large Korean beer last night. It was $3, so why the hell not. While it wasn't anything to write home about, it was cool to try it. Probably drink another one sometime in the future.

Each session I try to sample something new, and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised. This Wee Heavy fermented in oak barrels is right up my alley and I'm really digging it. The wife is next to me having a Carlsbad Chronic, tomorrow we celebrate our 23rd anniversary... God has blessed us to find each other . Have a great Saturday night

I snagged a bottle of this, alongside a bomber of the original Even More Jesus. After trying Bible Belt last weekend, I am pretty pumped to try the original EMJ and another of its offspring side-by-side. Definitely going to have to get a good 10 mile run in beforehand, as I'm sure I'll be in an imperial coffee/stout coma for about 2 days afterwards.

I'm near Dayton, but my wife won't let me. She gives me turkey bacon and turkey sausage.
It's fowl, but I love her.

I'll join you on the love for all those beers.

That Oktoberfest, though, is one of those beers that doesn't really fit in any particular box too well. To me, the malt and hops definitely push it into the Brown Ale category, even though it's a lager. I felt that way even moreso tonight, but that's OK- I was drinking what was, in my mind, an absolutely fantastic mug o' Brown and thoroughly enjoying it. More than the Tumbler, truth be told.

Yazoo Fall Lager. Just not a fan of the style (i.e. Octoberfests/Marzens). While I have liked the random one in the past, I think I have moved past being interested in trying new ones. Got 2 more bottles of this from my sixer, not sure I finish it (though I will say, it is not a bad beer).

Just back from a college football game where my 5 year old was part of the halftime festivities. This is my first and probably last beer of the day, I know it's crazy but true. I have to catch a flight in the morning for work.
