    Yeah, definitely an awkward flavor. I've actually been corresponding with them and brought two bottles to the brewery for them to sample. Craft drinkers are loyal to Weyerbacher, and Weyerbacher is loyal to their customers, they are awesome about customer service, I'll leave it at that. :sunglasses: :slight_smile:

    If I could jump in on this one ... Insanity drinks pretty well fresh and even better with some age on it. The 2013 batch has some weird off flavor issue and unfortunately aging won't correct that.

    2014 was the first year I didn't purchase a case or two of Insanity and was able to try it on tap at the brewery a few months ago, happy to say, it was perfect and wish I would have pulled the annual trigger for a case or two. 2013 lacked. '14 was great. As far as I know, the barrels haven't seen beer until Insanity, I could be wrong and can't confirm. (Would be a great question to e-mail Weyerbacher about, they are great about responding.)

    Started with some Yum Yum. And it was tasty.

    Then smoked a nice cigar with Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout, didn't snap a picture though. Also I was jamming out to this. Cheers BA!

    Went to the Cigar City taproom earlier today and sampled Jai Alai, FL cracker, Hotter than Helles, Acai Mango Habanero, Tocobaga, Good Gourd, Hopchata, and Maduro. All of them excellent! First time trying any of their beers and I was certainly VERY impressed! Also bought a 4 pack of Cubano Espresso cans from them to take back to WI since it was not on tap to sample. If you're need Tampa and have a chance to check them out, do it!

    A long time want. Modern Times showed up in my local store all of the sudden with all their most popular beers, so naturally I jumped on it quick.
