Jeez, I thought I had done pretty solid. I got to 500 in 1 year and 11 days. Of course I didn't transfer any beers from the 2 previous beer apps I had tried.

My 500th? Pilsner Urquell. But it was on a cruise.

I use Untapped because I don't really like BA's mobile app and I have beer friends who don't use BA. Most of Lehigh's reasoning could apply as well.

 

That plead and exped. are 13's too enjoy the brews thanks again.

 

Mmmm, just had a 13 Expedition and it was so damn good. Really fun to do a 13/14 side by side of that and compare the differences.

I use it to see what everybody else is drinking. Also was there before I started logging into BA and I'm a supporter so I can pull my history out into excel format whenever, comes in handy.

 

I haven't used it in a while, but http://www.brewfeed.com/ does lots of interested analysis by linking it to untappd.

 

This too; since I check in every beer I drink, not just the new ones, it gives me a good overview of how much I've been drinking lately.

Will have to check that out, I'm certainly a sucker for analytics.

 

Just to save you a little ground work I'll do the analysis for you... your results are in and the answer is "Probably too much"

 

Yeah, I knew that much... Unfortunately the brewfeed site isn't loading my feed properly. I'll have to try again at home.

 

It worked for me once then wouldn't load back the beer list after I looked at some of the graphs... when @Mikexw posts something his legions of followers act... we probably crashed their servers.

Just did a side by side of 2013 & 2014 FBS to see if I could tell the difference….too buzzed to remember.

 

It hasn't worked in a little while I think. I tried using it right after GABF to figure out how many beers I'd had and it was erroring then as well. Ended up being a supporter for a month so I could pull my checkins out. At some point I'm going to right a python script to pull my checkins from the untappd API since the export doesn't really allow you to pull brewery information other than name (such as state, etc).

 

My first outing with FBS was a 4 pack I bought a few weeks back only to get home and realize it was 2013. I wasn't blown away, but it wasn't bad either. I'd really like to try it fresh(er) though. Will probably pick up a 4 pack sometime this "season" (don't really have the spare funds right now and won't for a while, but it should still be on shelves around here in 2 months or so considering I just got 2013 in september...) I've heard it's phenomenal fresh so I neeeeeed to try it! I've also not had FIS so I'm going to try to track that down around here (a local bar has it on tap right now but again... funds)

I think I friended you on untappd right before GABF -- and based on your checkins, you are probably the one who broke it . And I think I understand your technical posts better late at night, after drinking (either that, or I still don't understand them, but don't care at that point).

 

FIS and FBS flows around here, I could buy cases if I wanted too. Fresh had more of a coffee taste too it, the 2013 while still great, didn't have the coffee in front as the 2014 did. I would have no issue sitting on a case for the rest of the year to drink, but yes fresher is better.

 

If you think that's a technical post, you don't want to see my email output for a day at work Most of that is data analysis related though instead of programming. Don't get to do all that much programming anymore really (at least at work; sadly enough I'm working on teaching myself F+ and python in my spare time for funsies...).
