I would say you could either do #6 but I think (for the most part), people like the excess that comes with the "big" round and the sixer rounds provide a nice temperance counterbalance (money-wise, not alcohol-wise) (and having tiers in a round with this many participants could be a potential logistical nightmare). We could also try two consecutive sixer rounds before the "big" winter round kicks off so people who cannot participate in the "big" rounds can still participate in the group.

 

Maybe there needs to be a BIF (or a round) where everyone agrees that the maximum is strictly adhered to. Would actually be pretty fun having to stick to a hard and fast requirement.

 

@Clarkson that's pretty much whst the summer sixer (round 2) was, and I think what's being discussed for round 4.

Thank you to those that have my back that I'm not a bad person, just occasionally inarticulate. I've said my peace and don't want to drag the thing out so I won't respond further publicly, if anyone would like to speak with me privately I'm happy to.

The last thing I will say is to reiterate my suggestion to grab a beer, and my offer that the first round is on me.

 

Just to draw this whole conversation out longer than it needs to be... I'd like to say 1st - @justanewby's box kicked ass. I am one of those who decided to bow out of this round because I knew if I wanted to keep up with everyone's 300 oz boxes, the quality of beer I would be sending would surely have to suffer. I personally would rather see a BIF where I could send 120oz of 95+ rated locals (something I stuck close to in round 1) vs 300 oz of okay beer. All the posts thus far have made me very jealous and nearly regretful about not coming back in for this round but I figured I would give my $.02 as to why I did decide to sit out. Cheers again to @justanewby and everyone else who has shipped thus far for killer boxes, cheers to everyone who has put up awesome beer in side LIFs, cheers to @Ncpogs who has a beer collection that I can only dream of, due to all these damn wives and kids in my house, who just sent me a box of world class beer cause he's the shit (side note... while I feel very underpowered to pay you back for the beer you sent me, it has been inspirational in me doing the same thing on numerous accounts for people who aren't swinging quite as massive of a stick as you are so your actions have led to others reaping rewards)... and cheers in general to everyone else in this thread... I thought some of the comments were out of line when I first read them but in reality it is kind of cool if you take a step back and think about the fact that a large group of guys who mostly don't know each other are able to kid around and bust balls like a family due to everyone's shared hobby here. Hug it out, bitches. #beerlationships

LOfuckingL... there is only one wife (not even really my wife yet) but I get enough shit from her coming from every direction that sometimes I think I am getting bitched at by an army. Heck, with all the drinking and posting we all do, I'm surprised more of us (especially me with my loud mouth) don't get into more trouble than we do.

I can't thank you enough for all the advice you have given me. I think your one of the few that try to make people better at this, but at times, I feel there are hidden rules or codes of conduct that may confuse some or make others playing with a different mindset be upset over nothing. Some think BIF is about crushing someones porch with 1. Quantity 2.BA Rating 3. Whales, and each one views the results in a win/loss depending on the game they choose to play, while their sender might be completely clueless to this.

Honestly, I know @Lehighace06 is a guy that cares about making these a better experience for all and has spent many hours dealing with situations to do so, and for that I owe you a round.

 

Just finished boxing up. Gonna send out today way too much beer for one person to drink. I just kept filling the box and before I knew it... Oh well, I know lifting it into the back of my truck was difficult. I hope your FEDEX guy has a sturdy hand truck. Someones porch will be decimated next week.

I might be able to use just one box, but probably not...

I also missed the drama. I like to think we are building a nice little community, though.

I know it is coming to my state and have it narrowed down to me and one other person, just don't know who the lucky one is at this point.

I have my sender narrowed down to you and one other person, but the latest hints from each of you have me a little confused. I keep flip flopping between you two as to who is my leading candidate. Having 4 people from my state in the BIF makes it challenging.

 

Yeah I've talked to a few people about how that release went, not quite to the level of "shit show" but apparently it tight-roped the line. Even being within striking distance, I doubt I'll ever get my own bottle of that, so I'm hoping that my proximity will lead to some being brought out at a share sometime.

Dude it is so good that fresh. I hope you don't mind but I had to give a couple away to others, some that (like me) have access to it but never that fresh, and some out-of-distro that I know will enjoy it.
