No picture but I'm drinking Bells Venus. This is a weird beer. Not sure if it's good or bad. I had a Fat Heads Head Hunter earlier and that beer is fantastic. It's like I forget how good it is but then every time I have it ( only once or twice a year) I think, son of a bitch this is awesome.

 

Hop Trip, but I already tossed the bottle and am too lazy to go get it. I'll try to remember to photo my next one.

 

What do you mean by weird? I want to try it but I heard fairly bad things about it. Is it worth getting a bottle of?

 

I think it's the apricot that's odd. It just doesn't seem to fit into the beer. I think if the beer was done as a sour or a full blown fruit beer it would be good but it seems like they just threw some apricot juice in to a basic ale recipe. The vanilla is good, but I'm also a sucker for vanilla In beer. I'd say if it's easy for you to get and you can just get a single bottle it's worth the taste. If it requires much of an effort then I would not bother.

For tonight's vbs I decided to mimic @cultclassic89 choice last night in both glassware and brewery. My first Hill Farmstead beer but hopefully not my last. Cheers!

 

Cheers. Probably my least favorite HF beer, but HF beers are like sex and pizza: even when they're bad, they're good.

 

I've been doing a New England week -- third awesome beer from these guys in the last 3 days, and heading to Boston Friday and Vermont on Saturday...

Actually, the PA and MD people should try and schedule a meeting at Pizza Boy or in Philly (or elsewhere). We sort of tried once but everyone seemed to have very full schedules.
