    48 degrees right now. That's really cold for coastal SC. Officially that time of year where it's "necessary" to start making use of high gravity beers for warmth! Loving this one as always

    Brought back a case of this from the brewery. A119 IBU stout really intrigued me. While you can certainly tell the higher IBU, it is very complex overall and gives a neat twist to stouts!

    Blind flight. This one crushed me. From left to right: Brooklyn Lager, BBC Steel Rail, Grey Sail Flying Jenny, Founders Red's Rye. I can legit claim about a 0.5 victory on the Red's Rye. In my defense, the Flying Jenny had to have been an old keg; I drink this on tap all the time, and the hops were about dead. Steel Rail I've only had on cask, dry-hopped; I had no idea it was such a boring, hop-deficient EPA (I actually thought it was the Brooklyn Lager, as did my companion).

    Much tougher this time around; humbling. Still fun as hell, though. :slight_smile:

    Then, back to his house for a trunk beer...
