So @I_BYE_MI_BEER unless I'm mistaken, you're my sender? I got the notification about the box being sent and have been tracking it ever since. Last night I noticed that FedEx reported the box as damaged. I called them to see if I could pick it up anyway and they told me it was destroyed Knowing how great all the boxes in this BIF are it sucks, and on top of that to know it made it all the way to Houston before being destroyed.

 

As long as I do go, absolutely. I'm not having second thoughts because I have to keep remembering my financial situation means I shouldn't spend so much on beer right now, and keep forgetting then conveniently remembering that nugget nectar comes out in, now, 3 days. I'm leaning towards not stopping though

 

Also... a box is out for delivery... after all these horror stories this round, it's great to see that notification on tracking for my target

Wonder what Fed-Ex did with THAT box? It wasn't like any of the bombs I usually drop - only had 8 beers in it...

Anyway - I guess nothing I can do about that one now - another box will be on it's way next week.

No need for apologies! I guess it happens to all of us eventually. I just wish they didn't destroy it. Would have gladly taken it off their hands so we could see what happened/if anything made it. Appreciate you sending another, definitely not necessary as I understand the risks we take shipping beer and I feel bad that you have to go out and spend more money.

 

Nice to hear especially with all these FedEx horror stories going around lately.....

 

I can confirm that @_RL_ is the man! I have had the pleasure of meeting him in person for a beer and receiving an outstanding box of Vermont goodies from him. Probably about due time for another Frisco's visit to share a beer again!

 

Does destroy mean that the Fed Ex workers consumed what wasn't broken?

 

If it does - then they are rightly drunk.

And @EA728 - no way you're going without a box I'll get it hooked up next week and hopefully this one will make it.

Carton and Kane are about 1 1/2 to 2 hours North of Wildwood ONE WAY, depending on the summer traffic on the parkway. I know of a local place that stocks Carton Cans, in Cape May, about 15 mins from Wildwood.
