For not a ton of bottles you guys hit some serious quality (and not a single TX beer??) What'd you guys think of the Golden Delicious? I had that recently and am curious for someone else's thoughts. And which BASS is that? "Regular" BASS or one of the variants?

Couldn't hurt to suggest it Enjoy your trip, I'm pretty jealous (and hope to have my own similar trip soon, but it either needs to be really soon or not until late summer, well after the baby)

 

Back to our regularly scheduled BIF

Hint #1 - shipping to a state whose name ends in a vowel
Hint #2 - my target participated in the very first round of The Locals
Hint #3 - my target is the only participant from his state in the (current) round
Hint #4 - at least one of these numbers is a perfect square -- my target's area code, zip code, street address, or age

And not to be repeatedly redundant over and over again, but I plan on shipping early next week -- I think January 19th (Monday) is the end of the shipping window, but the cold weather here has been sort of on the cold side.

 

I know I said I was going to extend the Sixterhood sign up till next Thursday, January 15th, but I finished the box and I don't believe I was going to get any more entries. I had six entries total, so the next person should have no problem finding someone else. I used Random.org to select the receiver. To the receiver, I hope you enjoy some of the beers in this box as they are even hard for me to get and I live in the Chicago market. Box should be there this week!

 

Thanks. I would love to go to Funky Buddah also but that's even farther. If it were me I would go soon or wait until next winter. I like getting out of the cold for a while if I can but that's just me.

 

I'm happy to report that for once in the last, um, year, I held onto my willpower. Besides that, I am very sad to be missing this box... ANY beers from the Chicago market would make an awesome box, but as described, I'm sure this box will be killer.

Good point, and I've had that idea in mind, but my wife's pregnancy (first) and my client (second) both trump the weather (fourth to 'can i be there for huna day' in third)

 

It looks like the weather for my target will warm up to shippable temps at the end of the week. I'm looking to drop off Tuesday for a Friday delivery.

Really impressed by it, honestly I haven't loved a lot of Lost Abbey's stuff, but this is certainly impressive

I'll be running something in the spring - I just don't want to chance anything with the weather right now and have an idea rolling around in my head about a couple of my favorite sporting events that both occur in April.

 

Just keep sending them down or we"ll have to invade. This time we'll win.

 

I am partial to Rapp. I never miss it when I am on that coast.

I really enjoyed the Golden Delicious. I'm not a huge fan of tripels, but it didn't taste like one at all. Really just tasted like a strong blonde ale aged in apple brandy barrels. Nice apple brandy flavor, wasn't too boozy and was enjoyable. And it was regular BASS. Love that beer, though.

And I don't want to be a "homer" since I brought the Saison Bernice, but damn that is an excellent beer. SARA is definitely worth the hype.
