A day home from work due to the "ice" storm gave me a chance to try out a bottle of imperial stout I brewed last year:

This beer has been nothing but problems, but at the same time a good learning experience. I did absolutely no research into brewing with maple syrup and just decided to throw a quart into the kettle at flame out. Hit 1.100 OG and thought that was just great at the time. A stuck fermentation and bottles that refuse to carbonate and I've learned a thing or two. This bottle is one of the few so far that has fully carbonated. Happy it's carbed but not happy with the results. Live and learn.

Didn't quite have the proper glassware, ...... figured slugging from the can was appropriate for my one afternoon beer today

A bit spicy-hoppier than when poured, the balance really holds up. Simple pleasures, folks. Happy Monday!
    Oh, hey, on that note

I was more of a Stone Roses fella myself, but there's a time for everything I believe ..... and the movie of this name was awesome.

Just reviewed Ayinger's Celebrator (4.48). World Class flavor always calls for a celebration...

Cambridge Brewing Co. Flower Child IPA. My last one. Good thing I just grabbed 2 4 packs of Captain's Daughter.

Also I regrettably extend an RIP to my favorite, custom engraved snifter which I received as a graduation gift from my fiancee.

I seem to have spent the whole month of December drinking big heavy dark beers. I needed a break from that and Ommegang has been the solution. Another tasty beer (with a 9.5 abv kick).

Courtesy of @Roguer I'm sorry, this brew isn't for me at all! I thank you for sending it, yet I should've trusted my gut and gave this to my sister's friend who loves this brew.

Some World Class brews are not for everyone.

I mean don't get me fucked up, this aroma is phenomenal, yet the flavor goes in a separate direction. Dont take offense @Roguer I just don't enjoy this brew fully! I'll make it up to you! Trust me!

I take no offense; I didn't brew it. I wasn't sure, honestly, if you liked it; I know you don't particularly like KBS, and I can't recall seeing you drink FBS on BA (certainly not with any regularity, if ever). But I figured I'd toss it in on a chance. I have plenty left lying around, so it's no big loss.

New Glarus Road Slush Oatmeal Stout. Not quite as good as I remember having it last time, but that was one bottle on a bleary night a few years ago. Still quite good, reminds me a lot of Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout

Local DIPA still tasting as good!?

This is pretty Old considering the Populace opinion on DIPA/IPA age. Yet still tasting great as usual!

    I'll drink this!

    Musical Narration:

Shades of.. is probably one of my Favorite Shape of Despair albums. If you like the 3 by 3 waltz Funeral Doom, then don't pass up this album.
