What other ones are you short?

 

Yeah I'm going to try like hell and trade for some more, but so far this is the only bottle I've gotten my hands on this year, and I LOVE peach in beers, and completely missed Farm to Face, so I was so excited for this gem of a box.

 

Down to just Raspberry and Coffee, I think. I'll double check. Just don't think you're going to up and send me some without having a trade worked out first.

It's funny, between ninja boxes, LIF boxes, and BIF boxes, I have 7 of 9 in the set and have not proactively sought out a single one yet. Just goes to show how incredibly awesome this community is.

 

Ouch, yeah I managed 5 bottles (?!?!?!). Opened one with Josh and another buddy that went BCBS shopping with us that day (since I got the biggest haul of coffee figured it was only fair I was the one who opened it when we cracked all three), cracked one with a friend a couple weeks ago, sent the one out in my not summer sixer, opening one at the share I'm hosting next week..... so I have one lonely one left purely for myself haha

 

A not summer sixer is landing in Connecticut tomorrow! Quickly jumped on the short period of warm weather to send out the box. Now I just need to get out the twenty boxes (not really 20) I owe for all the football bifs...

Also, I love how half the posts here are lif's and answers to lif's!

 

What do you think of it.

 

I just checked, I have all 9, with the Mocha I just got. And I wasn't trying either... (that was not meant to be a "mine is bigger than yours..)

 

I like it. It reminds me of a Belgian Xmas ale actually. Good choice.

Edit:flavor wise, not Belgian yeast flavor wise. Which is good.

 

Then definitely don't send me any, do your own tasting!

 

#VBS My wife has been gone all week and she's coming home tonite. So steak with no veggies is in order. Bought 20 mins with Daniel Tiger and a Pez dispenser. Paired with Weyerbacher Tiny from @justanewby from the Stout BIF. Kinda sad single dadhood is ending this week (we've all been there, don't lie).



And to all you stout lovers, this is a great beer. Get it if you haven't already.

And we need more beer and food **** here. Y'all just eat Totinos every day or what?

How Sixterhood works:

1) The current holder of the Sixterhood box will make a post in the Locals BIF thread saying that the signup period for the next Trip is open and will be open for 2 or 3 days. Anyone that would like to be a potential target for the box would send their address information in a BM to the current holder of the box. To be eligible the person must have:
a) participated in Locals BIF rounds 1, 2 (summer 6'er), 3, or 4 (winter 6'er, current round)
b) have not already received the Sixterhood box.

2) After the signup period is over, the current holder will randomly pick the next lucky recipient of the Sixterhood box. They will not announce this person nor the number of people that signed up, but instead will start posting hints as to where the box is going (BIF style hints). If no one signs up to be the next recipient then, as the original founder, heystevec will be the final recipient (hopefully without him knowing that it is coming to him).

3) The holder of the Sixterhood box will fill the box with high quality local bottles or wants and ship it to the target. Make it a kickass box, but with this group of people I know we won't have to worry about that. Also, add the targets name to the tracking board in the box and add any 'decorations' that you wish to help commemorate the box's visit to your state.

4) Once the box is received by the target, they will post the pr0n for all to enjoy.

5) Start over at #1

You do not have to enter every signup period. You can pick and choose when you want to be in consideration to be the next recipient. This would be nice if the current holder of the box is from your own state or an adjoining state or if you are going to be out of town for a while or whatever. Jump in and out as you please.

 

Looking at these LIF boxes, I need to step up my game.

Odell IPA - love this beer, sucks we don't get their distro here...
Crooked Stave - Nightmare on Brett (Leopold Bros Whiskey Barrel) - Huge want, cannot wait!
Bull and Bush - The Legend of the Liquid Brain - BA Stout, why was this not a want?!?!
Alaskan - Baltic Porter - another want, that is now retired, 2012 and aged too. Awesome
Odell - Wolf Picker - Excited to try a new Odell beer.

Extremely grateful for such a great box, thank you so much Mike. I cannot thank you enough.
Stay tuned guys and gal, there will be a LIF coming very soon. (Some brave soul should put together and keep a running list of all the LIFS we've done. I think we're just a bunch of beer drinking lovers who enjoy giving away beer!)

Oh yeah, and the Not Winter 6er box, @mklisz blew me away with another amazing box, and most certainly a horizontal tasting in the very near future.

Enjoy the Odells soon, they're as fresh as I can get them... that Alaskan Baltic Porter was just totally random, saw it on your wants list and for whatever reason my local bottle shop had a a couple of them sitting in their refrigerated cellar, so I figured what the hell... the CS NoB, you will enjoy mightily I hope... and the Liquid Brain, well, I think it's my mission now to get that beer out to as many people in this group as possible... several of you have already had it and enjoyed it, it's got a damn good rating (4.44 rAvg and a 97 overall on BA) but no one has ever even heard of the brewery or the beer... hope you enjoy it whenever you do choose to open it. Cheers!

Yeah, I definitely have never heard of Bull and Bush of the beer, but it sounds awesome. I'm running out of room in my fridge, had to throw my milk away to make room. So these will be getting consumed very quickly.
