Hilarious draft list description of Miller Lite

There's a place in the Chicago suburbs called Bavarian Lodge. For the longest time they only had one canned beer. That section of the menu was labelled "Cheap Can" and the only option was Schlitz. Always cracked me up seeing that on the same page with Chimay, Cantillon, Bourbon County and the like.

 

Haha, a place in Portland keeps Hamm's on at all times for $3. Description reads "Cheap, Cold."

 

Not sure why a restaurant / bar would do this though. Anyone who thinks it is funny isn't going to order Miller Lite, and anyone who does want a Miller Lite has just had their beer preference mocked... Seems a bit douchy

 

If you're gonna order miller lite you're not gonna read flavour descriptions

 

Can't wait to show this to my Miler Lite drinking brother who constantly makes fun of my " weird" beer.

 

Kinda reminds me of the water jug at El Segundo Brewery.

 

I wonder how often they need to change out that keg...

 

You are a sensitive person. It is funny! Who really cares? Humor works wonders and we need as much as possible. I drink froo-froo beers from Belgium and France and don't look down on a soul.

 

True - just not sure why if you are a craft beer place you would be a tool about it - just get a keg of Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold or something and encourage the miller lite guys to try that - they might actually really enjoy a well made lager...

 

I went to a craft beer bar that had bud light for $20 a 12 oz bottle. Their philosophy was if you really want to drink it at their bar you are going to have to really pay for it. I thought it was funny.

 

Yeah, it is funny, but rude. It would be like if a menu at a restaurant with lots of healthy food had a section called 'for the fatties' and there was a cheese burger available.

I guess if you hate it so much, why have it on tap - have a good lager on tap instead!

 

That menu is trying way too hard.

 

There's a BMC bar near me that has one obligatory craft offering for "those people."
Right now it's Westbrook's 4th Anniversary and the description says: "For beer drinkers who'd secretly rather have an Almond Joy." We typically laugh at anyone who orders it in order to shame them. It's hilarious.

 

I guess my definition of hilarious differs from most...

 

Not a bad point. However, speaking for myself, if I went to said health food restaurant, I would proudly order that cheeseburger and embrace my inner fattiness. (I'm not fat btw) If you know what you like no need to feel shame.

 

I probably would too, and I am fat, and I would laugh it off with my friends and try and make the waiter rub my belly, but I wouldn't be at the restaurant by choice ever again...
