    After watching a bit of TV with a Paulaner Munich Lager, I figured it would be a great segue to this little number-

    Unfortunately, this a pretty lousy Weizenbock, and also a damn lousy beer period. What the hell was ST thinking here?!! Damn near all acetone, very little malt, and an unpleasantly spicy/phenolic yeast signature. Bah!

    Yeah- I was just glancing at the reviews, and I'm getting none of the fruits or banana that they mention. This is a bad bottle or bad batch, apparently.

    Bogedal Bryghus - No. 130;

    Labeled as a golden ale, but this looks, smells and tastes (dead-on) like a barleywine... no doubt because its almost 7 years old. Got it cheap so I thought I would be adventurous and give it a whirl. Good flavor for what it is

    1st Nugget Nectar of the season for me as this is just now out in my area. And as in past year's, this beer continues to underwhelm me. Good but not great. Just never has the hop presence I expect it too. Cheers!!!!
