Last week we only got about 8" during the blizzard. Today, 18", and it's still snowing. This Winter Ale from Long Ireland seemed like the perfect choice.[IMG]

Enjoying this beer for the first time due to some incredible beer if forward boxes that @SammyJaxxxx sent to me. This guy is the definition of generous!

Three Floyds Skull'Ole American Sour with Cherries. I'm assuming they are using Backmasking or some other type of porter as the base beer. Extremely tart and sour; in fact, probably the most sour beer I've ever had. With that being said, there are no off flavors or anything like that; just an intensely sour beer. Taste is much more balanced than the aroma. Get lots of sour cherries, lots of acidic sourness, vinegar, a little chocolate, subtle roasted malt, slight cinnamon?, and a tiny amount of sweetness. Tastes like a chocolate cherry warhead if they were ever produced. Definitely better than most of their previous sour offerings. Decent stuff, but not for the beginner in sours.

Had this on tap a few weeks back, and loved it. We found that the cherries weren't lost behind that insane level of tartness. Awesome label art as well, per usual.

Good point, the tart cherries go very well with the base beer. The more I drink it, the more I like it. Their labels are always awesome!

Yeah. . .so I was told via BM that perhaps "love button" was not the wisest choice of words. Knowing what a highly refined and sensitive group WBAYDN is, I apologize wholeheartedly to the extent that my indelicate turn of phrase caused you any distress or discomfort. I know euphemistic references to female anatomy, however unintentional, can cause shock and alarm and clearly have no place in such a rarified forum such as this. Mea culpa.:rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes:
