    Cheers and happy New Beer Sunday BA! I got the chance to try a beer from a brewery of whom I have heard many wonderful things. ( that's my entry for today's grammar lesson - did I do that right?) Almanac's Saison Dolores. I was a tad disappointed because I do not think this beer is as fresh as it could have been. ( I am guessing 4-6 months old at least, if anyone might know I am curious because I could be wrong) But still pretty good.

    Wow, you made your own bacon-wrapped scallops? I had a scrumptious bunch of these at a little place on the NH coast last month. Amazing stuff. Incredible cheers to you on such a bad-ass breakfast there!

    I rarely buy anything from Rogue. I feel their beers are overpriced and find most of them to be pretty average. I'm a sucker for coffee stouts/porters though, so I decided to give this one a try. When I opened it I was surprised to see the beer gushing out after a few seconds. I've had that happen with Belgian ales from time to time but never with anything else. Thankfully I opened it in the kitchen, so I was able to pour into my glass over the sink before it got too messy. When all was said and done it's about what I expected, a fairly standard Porter with mild coffe flavor.
