Calling it "Cali" is probably not the best start...

    You guys are harsh lol

Obviously Black Note is incredible but I think Hopslam is an amazing DIPA. Especially this year's.

Now may I please, at least, have some Sculpin?

I see posts like this and almost feel bad when I go to Ballast Point and walk right on past their little store that has a fridge full of sculpin, grapefuit sculpin, and habanero sculpin.

But then I go and buy a Victory at Sea and/or Sea Monster and I no longer feel bad.

Surprised neither of those get out to you already. Feel like both could be soon, though.

According to that seekabrew website (not sure how up to date it is) he would need to travel just down to Ohio

Where in California do you live that the DIPA selection is so bad that Hopslam qualifies as "amazing"?

With both having such a large distribution footprint, I am too. I've read where Ballast Point maybe entering Western Michigan sometime soon, but that doesn't really help me much either.

OH may get some, but probably just more convenient to order online and eat the shipping charges.

I like a TwoHearted every now and then. But, shit, the ones at my BevMo yesterday were bottled 10/21/14. No thanks.
I just imagine folks drinking that and saying "what's all the fuss about?"

Texas Liquor had some Hopslam, it was tasty (as usual). Nice to have it once a year, like Nugget Nectar.

HopSavant...hit me up, I'll send you some Sculpin.

I'm looking forward to Oberon for the summer. <shrugs>
Some people around here are a bit too jaded...

Count me in the not excited category. Had a couple of their beers in IL when I visit my folks. They are good, but I find the local stuff to be just as good, if not better in many instances. I guess if they had a good price on it, I would pick it up every now and then, but it isn't pushing anything off of my rotation

I was so excited to get a pack of the Expedition, but I was sort of "meh" once I had it. Not sure why - changing tastes over the years? Glad its around, though - we have too few stouts available in single serving portions.

I grabbed a single bottle at Bine & Vine last time I was in SD and it was as good as I remember. The six-pack is a bit pricey but a great stout in my opinion.

A six craft at Bottlecraft was $18+tax if I recall correctly, is there any other imperial stout available in San Diego that can compete with that on price per ounce? Stone IRS probably comes closest but I would consider Expedition a great value, even if it's not cheap.

Really psyched to buy Expedition, Porter, and even Java Stout sixers.

Just got back from Total Wine in Redondo. They had each of those in sixers, plus Two Hearted (2/9/15 bottle date), Oberon, Kalamazoo Stout, Oarsman, Cherry Stout, Third Coast and Amber... may have missed others.
