This paragraph was kind of funny, but I think the dude is reaching with this article. I was drinking Goosetown Gose before I knew what Gose was, It was a just a damn good beer at a good price. Great beer for when I'm on my boat catching some rays.

See, this kind of thinking is the problem. For me, I hate smoked beers. To me, it tastes like eating a campfire which is a similar over-the-top analogy to drinking acid because we know no one would actually eat a campfire or drink acid (depending on which kind you mean). Does that somehow make all those who love Rauchbiers liars? "I find something completely unpalatable so that must mean you're only liking it to fit in or be different." The entire basis of this article comes from some dude's entirely subjective personal opinion. I don't really like Goses that much either but I learned a long time ago that just because I can't wrap my head around someone enjoying a certain taste doesn't make their preferences completely invalid.

Boy, you think that article is bad, I can't get an IPA past my tongue, tend to spit the stuff out. Probably good I didn't write the article substituting IPA for Gose.

    Edit: As Immortale25 knows... heh...

I'm sure they called the age of automobiles dead because one type of car didn't succeed or wasn't popular to some

What a d-bag. Not everyone is going to like every style of beer. Drink what you like and pass on what ya don't. I'm pissed I gave this article another view.

Craft beer is more prone to die from silly debates such as this one and not over a style of beer.

Despite his tastes, I thought it was a damn funny article. It's one opinion... and Gose will always have a place on the beer shelf. Have to appreciate the article, though.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

The number of Thrillist links on this site is too damn high.

Not all of it is nonsense, but it's mostly all regurgitated crap.

This schmuck again. I'm not going to even waste my time reading it, it's just one douchey prick's opinion magnified for clickbait.

Sometimes im amazed at what people can be paid to do for a living.

I still think it's odd that American craft beer drinkers have latched onto a style that in Germany is marketed as a "girly drink":

Now available in Pina Colada flavor!

Maybe beer nerds in Germany are clamoring for Bud Light Lime-a-rita :stuck_out_tongue:

I got as far as the illustration above the article. Why read the opinion of someone who thinks "craft beer" in the US started in 1984? (I guess, that's based on the founding year of Boston Beer Co.? Ignoring Anchor, New Albion, Sierra Nevada and a number of other early US breweries. Granted, the author may not have created the image).

Thrillist,, where narrow minded ignoramuses go to spout ridiculous opinions about imaginary issues designed to target an audience that doesn't exist.

"i don't like this beer so everyone's taste must be terrible" is a weak argument, especially when you're depending on Gose, a style that's been around the block a few times.

Maybe that article is the bull penis to his writing career.

He singles out Gose? why? when there are wilds, berliner, so on and so on. All tart and for some (my father who is IPA or bust) doesn't consider it beer. But this guy needs to gtfo.

Typical click-bait hyperbole. To say that one style of beer has killed the entire craft beer movement is ignorant and immature.

I'm not a huge fan of Gose, but now I'm tempted to buy a case just to cosmically spite this guy.

The premise is fairly stupid, but let's not pretend there aren't craft beer trends (in everyone's vain attempt to stay ahead of the curve) that make you roll your eyes.
