Bitter cold today, so I may as well stay inside and enjoy the finer things.

Hi there! We interrupt this excellent WBAYDN #848 for this crass commercial message!

Starting off Sunday AM with a new IPA for me...Soul Style. I think these
were released in November 2014 but for whatever reason, I didn't see 'em
on store shelves until yesterday... If it's 4 months old, it's held up quite well.
I'm tasting the tropical, fruity notes - as advertised on the bottle but I cannot
help but wonder if this IS 4 months old, how fantastic it might have been
    back in November.

Packing for a 4 day fishing trip next week on the White River in Arkansas. It's an annual thing a group of buddies and I do every year the weekend of presidents day.

Some years it's warm (50) and some years it's very cold (20)...this year is looking like it's going to be on the cold side :slight_frown:

That said it will all buff out...trout bite in the cold and a few big beers to warm the insides always help!

Beer...check, rods, reels & lures...check, fillet knife...check. I could stop here but I think I better go dig out the Columbia bibs, jacket & boots...no need to freeze

Still pretty surprised at myself for getting this, not in a bad way though. Mainly just have been drinking imperial stouts lately but this one caught my eye (never had it before) and I'm liking it! Started with that and now I'm having this:

This isn't bad but I was expecting it to be a bit better. Now I love bourban and can handle the burn but Damn does this taste like straight bourban. I really don't understand how it's only 9.5% ABV. Blindly drinking,I'd of guessed that it's 20%. So of course, it's super dominant and I'm having a really hard time picking out the vanilla and cocoa. It's good but not great.

[IMG] [IMG]From the other night. Highlights were West Ashley, Fruit Punch #1 and I See a Dankness. Probably the best I've had from their respected styles.

That's pretty good then? I saw it but wondered if it was worth the $11 a 12oz bottle :grimacing: though I've spent more in the past

[IMG] So I love Sierra Nevada, but we only got this mix pack two weeks ago and still haven't seen Hop Hunter or Bigfoot. They need to get their distro figured out. Sierra Bill do you hear this?
