This joint's a couple miles from my house - my blood is likely 30% orange chicken sauce.

 

My first foray into the Kristalweizen style. Weihenstephaner is the brewery and it's pretty good. Nice banana, bubble gum, and clove notes, but the wheaty flavor that is present in the hefe is not there in this.

Thought I'd wait for the "warm" weather and the sun to melt the snow and make it nice and heavy before I headed out to shovel. I'm a genius as you can tell. Only saving grace is it will take me longer which means I CAN enjoy these two beautiful freshies.

Getting my Oscars® pre-party off to a good start

 

Sitting by the fire, sipping on a Victory at Sea, while flipping between golf and Daytona 500. I've never had the beer before and I'm liking it more as it warms. At first the flavor was dominated by a smoky bitterness that was overwhelming in a bad way. Now that I've been sipping for 20 minutes or so, I am starting to taste the vanilla and slight chocolate, it's getting better. Cheers All!

 

New Glarus Berliner Weiss. The last of four 4-packs of New Glarus sours that I purchased last fall. Oud Bruin, Apple Ale, Cranbic, and Berliner Weiss. Will need to go shopping soon.

 

Smoking a pork shoulder, drinking a coffee, watching the Hawks.

 

A little local ale, brewed with habanaros, aged in tequila barrels. Good stuff. Plus some Hamm's. Lotsa y'all don't care for AALs, but this is some pretty good American Adjunct Lager, if you like that kind of thing. Cheap and decent. Nothin' wrong with that. Pretty much chillin', waiting on Walking Dead tonight. Grandson went home and the joy factor in this household just went down a notch.

Moved from that sweet Tripel to a fine Belgian wild ale.
