    Staying local for now.

I was at the brewery earlier. Knocked back their new Azacca Pale Ale (unique hop characteristics displayed for sure.. Thinnish and dry finish. Solid stuff. If any other brewery did a beer like this, it would be a mainstay. La Cumbre themselves have put out such good DIPA and IPAs, that a seemingly above par APA may be overlooked). Their star attraction was Project Dank.. Decided to take home a bomber as well.

Draft wins out for sure. The bomber seems much more bitter and piney, compared to the draft pour that seemed 100% nelson hop type berry tropical goodness with minimal astringent bitterness.. Batches do change week by week it seems. So not one person may get an honest assessment of what they are having based off of other reviews/ratings. I may be comparing a 2/11 bomber with something else on draft. If you come to ABQ, get this on draft. Bomber is a 9.4ish out of 10. Draft an easy 10.

    Elevated IPA on deck

My # 2 for the evening shares a namesake that reminds me of my shooting results when I played hoops - SWISH from Bissell Brothers in Portland, ME. Cool people and better beer!

Firestone Walker XVIII anniversary. Absolutely incredible. Firestone Walker definitely has the best barrel aging program of any brewery.

Duvel. Finally got one of their glasses too. When I saw it I was surprised I didn't already own one.

Made fajitas for dinner. No pic of that as my wife already calls me a homo for taking pictures of my beer . Had a Hopslam with dinner and now another while watching the NFL Network recap the scouting combine. Still drinking nicely.

Pretty impressive. But I'd rather a beer that buys itself.

Unfortunately Firestone doesn't distribute to Maine but I picked up this in New Hampshire on my way back home from Philly. This is my first taste of any Firestone beer and it is fantastic!
