Like others have said, nose is awesome and taste is very good but not quite to the same level. This will definitely enter my weekly IPA 12-pack rotation alongside Torpedo, Smutty Finest Kind, and Ipswich Route 101. Whichever is fresher.

Finally got 12 packs in. Bought the 6er while I awaited the 12 packs in stores. My go to year round IPA now...

Decent brew, very bold hop aroma, but IMO the flavor didn't match.

Finally hit Texas. I agree with most here that it's a really good IPA that I'll put in the rotation. I had my wife look for it when she went grocery shopping. She ended up paying $13.99 for a 6 pack. I probably would have passed at that price, but I'm glad I got to try it.

Not that impressed with this one. I think I may just be picky though. Oh well, glad to support SN either way due to what's his face from Lagunitas.

I love this, I can't recall the last time I bought 3 straight sixers in a row of the same thing. It is intense but it isn't, if that makes sense. Well done IMO.

Haven't seen bottles yet either, but the Jessup sidebar did have it on draft. Really good IMO!

I love most SN beers first of all.

I find Hop Hunter to be too dry for my taste. Its missing the malt at the end. I've started mixing it with Torpedo and I'm very happy with it now. Almost 2 parts Torpedo to 1 part Hop Hunter.

Got my first sixer of it this evening. Looking forward to trying it this weekend. Loved the $8.99 price compared to other craft sixers I was considering.

    finally tried this last night.

it was ok. reminded me a lot of Founder's All Day IPA. very similar infact, although the Founder's has a more complex hop profile and a much better finish.

i'm not sure what the hopping schedule is on this ale, but the hops aren't as pronounced as a lot of other beers.

i probably wouldn't buy this again as I would prefer Go To or All Day instead.

Got a growler fill of Hop Hunter today. Decent nose on this one, but the taste did not meet expectations. It's a good drinkable IPA, but thats where it peaks. Celebration retains the brewery's IPA crown IMO.

What I can add to this many months old thread right now, is that each time I had this beer was at the source and very fresh. It's a great beer to convert novices into the world of IPAs from the shallow end of the pool. It's a solid single IPA when uber fresh and a grocery store value buy to boot.
