Don't think this one's been started yet, so figured I'd get it goin. February went fast, thankfully. Looking forward to seeing some homebrew shots taken outside in the natural light, and not from the deep, cavernous depths of their wintered-in basements.

Oaked American barleywine that I brewed back in September, 2012. Centennial and nugget hops are pretty much non-existent at this point in time, but is taking on more of a dark cherry flavor. Only got 1 bottle left after this one. Good 'shitty weather' beer though!

Naw, I'm licking my wounds over a recent comp. I sent some pretty good beers (?) to the first FL competition of the year and got mediocre results. I had a killer smoked-amber that became "infected" after shipping . . . my first ever beer that frightened the judges. Now, with the NHC deadline this week, my pipeline is noticeable weak. So a self-imposed pic-sanction till I make something good.

My first ever keg of homebrew, the ESB from Brewing Classic Styles. It's pretty tasty and surprisingly powerful, for something that's so easy to drink.

In honor of Dr Suess' birthday (yesterday) we had Green Eggs and Ham with a Belgian Blonde (don't hate).

What I am not drinking in March is either of my IPAs as they are both gone.

Winter, an increased workload, and my new dog's weekend training sessions have stifled brewhouse productivity. Haven't brewed since November. Starting March with limited quantities of Apricot Berliner Weiss and Wee Heavy. Will March be the month where I break out of the rut?

I brewed that recipe last summer, and will probably brew it again soon. Had the same problem though – was great in the bottle for 1-2 months, then it slowly got a bit over-carbed. I'm aiming for 2.5 volumes next time around

First time trying out WL London ale yeast. Wanting something malty, englishy, and crushable during this hellacious winter we're having. Inspired by Boont Amber.

Thanks. 3 weeks primary + 5 weeks in secondary (CO2 purged) at 30°F. I increased the IBUs on @Soneast 's Kolsch recipe to about 50 (way out of style I'm sure) and it's fantastic. I used wyeast 2565 so the extra time and cold really helped.

Brewed his exact recipe last time and it was great. Didn't condition it as long (wyeast 1007), I'm sure it would have been better if I did.
    Cheers
