Decided to make my own Strawberry Berliner.

Using the standard Berliner from Three Palms - called Zip Zag. Solid on it's own

Added fresh FL strawberries and I am loving the results

This one is interesting. Not the best , but certainly better than the price would indicate.

It's now my official opinion that there's something about Vermont water that just makes the best IPA's around....another winner, from Pro Pig brewery. Side note, this is the cutest little growler ever.

Sipping on a Dogfish Head Immort Ale while I sun myself on the front steps. Almost 50 degrees and it feels like 70, love this time of year! Have a good Sunday all.

That really is a tough decision. For ribs... If I'm using a pretty peppery spicy rub, then I go with the heavier smoke I get from hickory or pecan. If I'm using a sweeter rub, then I usually go the lighter smoke obtained from apple or cherry wood. Looks good, man!

2013 Goose Island Bourbon Country Barleywine. The year and half age has definitely mellowed this out. Still get some slight bourbon, oak, vanilla, and coconut; however the age allows the dark fruits (plum, raisin, black cherry), carmel, toffee, and brown sugar to come to the forefront as well. The stout qualities from the one held BCBS barrels is still barely hanging around, adding some light chocolate notes. The aging is putting this very close to King Henry. World class.

The vanilla is about 50% of what it was fresh. The whiskey barrel has really mellowed out sweetly. Working together really well now. I'll check it again after Spring or so.
