So I had @PA-Michigander over for an IP switch on mutual #gopickitupformebros and he gave me some good counsel for my box(s)

Always like calling in the pros to make sure I am Beering It Forward properly. It is proper etiquette to step it up a notch each BIF you enter.....no??

 

The downside to ninja boxes...having no outstanding trades, yet checking my front porch every evening when I come home from work because you never know!

My target knows the answer

So some updates for my target's boxes.

Now have 28 bottles and 5 cans ready. That includes the pictured and aforementioned sour stouts and spiced stouts.
Also some well-known, overpriced-but-still good, BA stouts have entered the picture. Me loves the colored waxes....
Waiting on a small local brewery to release a really good stout but the date has been pushed back...might not make the shipping window....
A want that was pretty hard (for me) to land should be arriving at my house on Monday to be dropped directly into your box thanks to a nice fellow BA in Texas who will be publically outed for his generosity later this week. (and who better be in this BIF for Round 5 or I'm gonna drink all the beers in his box...)


Mr. Targetsir: Would you be interested in coffee? Please like this post this week if you do.
A cetain local nanobrewery here is also a coffee roaster. I'm hoping to land a growler of their beer and figure I could snag some beans while I'm at it.

What about crat root beer? I love that stuff and we saw some pron of each in this thread recently.

Dont fret about special/rare beers or out of distro considerations. I don't care if I can get it on a shelf if you send it to me. I'd never be upset about that.
It's, of course, nice if you do think of these things but i'll be happy with anything. Seekabrew is not very up to date as Arizona seems to get like 5 new breweries a month but, as has been said in this thread, half the good stuff from the new breweries never makes it here. And if it does, it gets gobbled up pretty quickly. My untappd and BA wishlist and profile page should have lots of crap by now. I hope im easy to shop for. ; )
We drink a LOT of beer at my house. With people coming and going all the time, quantity is valued over quality.
Early boxes okay. Coffee, chips, candy, nuts, salsa, jam, jellies, etc. all great. No meat please. Love ya in advance.

Did he charge you for the counceling?? Yeah, kinda a buzz kill that @PA-Michigander @JavaNoire and @blue-dream didn't get in on the fun (even though they are lurking behind the scenes ). Maybe next round???

Troegs Nugget Nectar - Had the chance to try this recently and it was one of the best Red ales I've had, happy to have another one
New Glarus Apple Ale - Have been a major fan of all of the NG 750ml fruit beers I've had, been looking forward to trying this one
Du Claw Sweet Baby Jesus! - Never had anything from Du Claw and you can't go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter
Crooked Stave L'Brett D'Or - Love crooked stave and we never get their more special release here, excited to pop this one
Live Oak Hef (growler) - Heard about this one while listening to a podcast. I haven't really been blown away by hefs before but I hear this one is the one to try.
Lone Pint Yellow Rose - This is one I was looking to trade for, super excited to get a chance to try it

Awesome box and more motivation for me to get off my ass and send a warning shot at my target.

FWIW:
I dont like hefes either, but I've had everything in that box except Yellow Rose.
Live Oak is as good as any beer there (and they're all super solid).
But that Apple Ale is super crushable!

I've got to preface my boxes. I don't guarantee whales or super rare beers in my box, but I PROMISE I will more than fulfill your stout itch with a bunch of great beers that I love personally. I will definitely include some hard to find/limited beers in the box, but I'm more of a share my vein of discovery kinda guy than a whalez bro kind guy. I hope that's fine.

I have a shorter list, but haven't seen a hint from anyone on it in WEEKS! (ok, maybe not, but it's been a while...)

 

I'm still contemplating peppering my target with "staggered" attacks or just dropping the mother load all at once....hmmmm....decisions decisions. On another note, weather is getting warmer and its gonna be nice to enjoy some beers outside and play some horseshoes.
