    I had Hunahpu for the first time today (not quite "late night" yet in Seattle, as it's still bright and sunny as hell - what a beautiful day! - and I started drinking this bottle all myself since around... 6pm Pacific).

    wow, this is really something. Dark chocolate, vanilla, finishes with pepper and other spices... motor oil consistency... maybe a bit too heavy and big for a summer weather like today, but hey I could make up an excuse to drink this anyday.

    Here is the picture ->

    Cheers to Saturday!

    Luckily, yeah! i was there at about 8:50am so plenty to go around. I haven't tried one before, so definitely looking forward to it.

    Phenomenal, but I prefer the bitter-to-floral ratio on the double citra... still, absolutely delicious on both counts. If i still lived in new england i'd probably make the drive once a month.

    I've been pouring more than a few Weltenburger Pils -- not to mention a couple Stift Schlagle red ales, and enjoying both.

    At least you knew what to expect, I was expecting goodness. The Palate wrecker more than made up for it, superb DIPA!

    No pics but earlier today had my uncle-in-law's hombrewed ginger wheat beer (very good) and then we randalled (well, French pressed) a double trouble on a roasted jalapeño, also really tasty. Cheers all!!

    Some of my bottles are better than others, IE some have hop particles and form a super aggressive head. The moderate bitterness and faint hop aroma remain the same through. Next batch will have more hops, dry and boiled.

    I wouldn't hesitate, even in the heat. Both are medium-bodied at best and very easy drinking. I perferred the Chipotle over Vanilla Bean. Both are dream pairings with barbecue, especially the chipotle version which is a fantastic example of how an added ingredient can highlight the base beer. I really can't wait to pair it with grilled fajitas.
