Visiting my parents in Newburgh, NY and found a four pack of this at the local store. It says "best before May 2013." But for $7 I figured I would give it a try. Glad I did, if this is how it tastes expired I would love to try it fresh.

I am assuming Sixpoint doesn't recomend aging due to the lower ABV.

    Tastes just fine to me.

Just wanted to say thanks to @LeperJim and @WesMantooth for yesterday's Rock Out with your Bock Out.
It was a super fun event. Thank you both! I had planned to post after I finished all my Bocks but....

    I got totally Bocked up!

So today it's Bock to the usual....

Pardon the interuption while I do my best @LeperJim impersonation as he is getting sunburn and drunk on Jai Alai. First, thanks to Jim again for not ignoring my late night drunken visions and messages, but also for all of the fantastic, as usual, art work. I told him I did't want to steal any of his thunder, but I loved the themed drinking days, and I just wanted to offer up some help. I knew you guys would knock this out of the park.

There are some honorable mentions needed here. We have the great @TongoRad with his wise friend "Tiny Tim" who talked him into concocting what was surely the most unique bock here, but not the only animal star. We had @lovethebelgians showing of "Hinkley" who was not sheepish. @scotay treated us to some bare baaaack side to wake everyone up, and also showed off his Raider's of the Lost Ark like goat idols that should be in @Boca-X 's house. Of course we can't talk about idols without mentioning that awesome opener that @Ardeer has. @impending offered up another classic pic of a classic beer. Speaking of, @cookiequiz is no slouch in this department. @Betolito had some nice goat head for his bock, and @Greywulfken, though clearly rattled that someone had used his material, came through in true greywulf fashion, even if it offered too much insight to some his personal hobbies. Last, but not least, @tasterschoice62.
[IMG] Enough said. Cheers to everyone else that partook. Way too many to mention. Hope you all had a good time, and maybe a chance to revisit an old friend or try a new style. I myself still hadnt had an Eisbock till yesterday.

As of noon EST today, these are the top 10 according to my math. Feel free to correct me, but I at least have the top 2 right.

    10) 56 @Ozzylizard A seemingly WBAYDN permanent resident. I don't think I ever open this thread and not see him.
    9) 58 @JuicesFlowing rocking a swing top doppelbock that is unfiltered - like most of us here.
    8) 60 @timontheroad and his live herd of goats. He was the only one to have a panel approved beer.
    7) 63 @Highbrow with an obscure bock that he of course has a matching glass for.
    6) 65 @supersak and his trifecta of bocks with subsaquent reviews to make us all envious.
    5) 67 @lordofthewiens as Jim said "keeping' it classy again" with his poetry to match his beer in a negligee.
    4) 72 @BeerVikingSailor spring sprung at his place with his flower pairing
    3) 74 @Highbrow again with his top notch photography to honor the top notch Celebrator.
    2) 85 @JandJMD disproving Ricky Bobby's theory that if you ain't first, you're last by coming in second just 3 spots shy of first. He not only took one for the team in honor of the event, but put his health on the line in the name of science by attempting to consume what sounded like a combination of motor oil and soy sauce. If he actually followed it up with that Budweiser, he should probably win by default.

    Drumroll……………. (like we don't know)………………………………..
    1) with 88 "likes" for ROWYBO WBAYDN #882, and choice of prize, @Boca-X who clearly had the most time invested post featuring his Jenga based Goat Worship Temple, and all of the promotional items. I think the Arnold picture would make a fantastic future prize. All we need to know now is. Boca, you just won ROWYBO, what are you going to do now?

Almost through the 2012-2014 stouts lingering in the beer frige. Next to Ten Fidy, Expedition is probably the favorite readily available stout.

And I was able to finally get that Triple Bock bottle from yesterday clean.
