Love the people over at Trillium. Never even met JC, but the staff are all super friendly and knowledgable, and the attention to detail they pay to their beer and customers is awesome.

Why can no one ever listen to the OP in these things and just limit their responses to ONE place only like was asked of us? Anyway I'm gonna have to say Fremont brewing, They are the nicest people ever, they have a very green brewery, and they make amazing beer! Doesn't help that they are two blocks from my house

I really respected how Bells pulled out of the Chicago market for a few years because of distribution laws.

New Glarus. If every state had a brewery like them, this world would be a better place. All of their brews are top notch, reasonably priced and readily available (save for the R&D stuff). What more do you need?

Stone. Mostly due to their Enjoy By series and their emphasis on fresh IPAs. Also for their love of hops. I also respect Dogfish a lot even though I don't care for most of their beer (too malty and not hoppy enough).

Also, there is a little brewery near where I live called Liquid Hero that I really respect. I'm sure most on here are not familiar with them but they have a lot of great beers and are always willing to put in the time to chat with their customers. It was started by a few buddies and as far as I know some of them still have their day jobs. They have some really good beers, most notably their double IPA called What The Floc. I also like that they do a rotational batch of IPA that they call 'Hop Hero' where they try something different each batch. A few of them have been so good I wonder why they don't make them permanent fixtures. http://www.liquidhero.com

Fremont doesn't seem to know how to make a bad beer in my opinion.

I have a great deal of respect for so many breweries, but Sierra Nevada would be my "most respected".

I respect founder's probably at the top of my list. They do it all, and do it exceptionally well. Especially their dark beers, noone does stouts and porters better. I am lucky to live in michigan, many breweries to be proud of. Honorable mention to short's, they make some awesome beers, mixed in with some of their whacky ones.

They're normally put in the "least respected" category, that's why I asked.
