    From earlier this weekend:
Founder Oatmeal Nitro - pretty good but given the amazingness of their porter, I was expecting more
Founders Blushing Monk - I'm not a huge fan of fruit beers, but this one was pretty decent
Deschuttes Black Butte - always a classic. This and Founders are my favorite porters out there
Smuttynose Robust Porter - detecting a theme here? I've heard so many good things about this one and it just fell a little flat for me. The flavor was nice but the aroma was a little weak and the body too thin. Looking forward to trying the Baltic Porter

Good morning BAs! Sometimes living in NW PA and being forced to buy a case of a beer you want to try can be a good thing!

I'm really liking this beer, but then I like rye brews in general. The mosaic hops work well with this brew and Terrapin seems to like using rye, so it's a win - win as far as I'm concerned.

    BOCKZILLA!!!

What a glorious Sunday to enjoy a beer...even better when it is free! Trying out a new beer for me and if you are inclined to thread hop...I've left a small, malty review posted on the pages of New Beer Sunday (post 23).

My winnings from last Saturday's Bock themed day arrived in the mail unharmed and ready for consumption. Thanks again for the votes and another BIG thank you to @WesMantooth & @LeperJim for a killer theme day!

Just been crushing the lagers here in the country that ironically makes it very difficult to get its namesake style.

I'm onto my second, finishing pour of this groovy tripel...

    Long Strange Tripel
Nice, well-above average take on a traditional Belgian tripel with some Americanized characteristics...

I was scrolling through the Post a Pic of Your Latest Tasting Event thread and thinking about posts I see in WBAYDN that are far more suited to that thread - maybe it needs some love? We have threads for all posting needs, but people may not know they have such options... For example, here in WBAYDN, we get posts displaying beers that aren't necessarily being consumed as well as posts showing all the empty bottles from the night before, and in NBS, we get posts just stating what people are drinking now, but without saying a word about them... So I came up with this posting guide for those unfamiliar with some of the other threads in the Beer Talk forums...

Here's all the beer I got: Post a Picture of Your Latest Haul
Here's the remains of what we drank last night: Post a Pic of Your Tasting Event
Here's what I'm drinking now: What Beer Are You Drinking Now?
Here's a beer I'm drinking for the first time and what I thought about it... and it's Sunday: New Beer Sunday

And waaaaay over in the Beer and Food forums...
Here's this food I'm eating that was awesome with the beer I'm drinking: Sharing Your Pairing :stuck_out_tongue:
