Hell yea people follow trucks around here, especially KRBC when people find out Citra was released. It sells out instantly at every store it touches here in Bakersfield.

I am with you on the ever growing tool crowd of the beer geeks. It is annoying, and they think they are entitled to things just cause they have a bunch of Black Tuesdays in there cellar(literally had a guy imply that to me).
I have a lot of patience but it is ever growing thinner and thinner for that crowd.
I will always enjoy going to beer events and will continue to go because of the experience I have with my friends.

Not sure about you guys but I typically kick off a conversation with someone at beer events or tastings by asking how many unique check-ins they have on Untappd. If they have any fewer than 500, I refuse to talk to them. If they do have over 500, I request to be their friends and then try to verify their check-ins by seeing if they take pictures of the beer. Can't truly verify that they check in beers if they don't take a picture. After that, the next step in the Three Step Beer Verification Process is to ask how big their cellar is. Anything under 50 bottles of hard to get beers and they obviously do not deserve my attention. I'm no scientist and this isn't verified, but I'm pretty certain that there is a direct correlation between Untappd unique checkins, cellar count, and penis/boob size.

It is about hanging out with good friends or meeting new people with a similar interest. Not wagging your beer dick around because that is the only thing good in your life. Shit, I would be much quicker to brag about my wife and kid and job and new ninja turles t-shirt than the beer I have in my cellar. If anything it is embarrassing how much I hoard just waiting for the perfect time to crack a bottle. Sometimes the perfect time is with one of your good buddies while you talk about how the week is going. I look forward to those moments just as much as the big slay fests that go down from time to time.

ya'll are fantastic people. I have met so many of you guys from different walks of life. All unique in your own way but similar in kindness and generosity and that is who I like to surround myself with. Whenever I catch myself putting beer more important than it really is I give some away. Watch out after Easter guys as I will be putting together another Loser LIF!!! Badges used to mean everything to me because I had a competition with a friend. He started to cheat with location, which led me to cheat and then one day I just said fuck it. I deleted like 30 of my badges and congratulated him on winning. It been a blast not drinking shit piss pilseners and old dusty bottles to get a stupid badge.

It always concerns me when I get a badge for drinking 125 different IPA's...like did I seriously drink 125 different kinds of IPA's?
