    When I think Stout, I think "STOUT"! It was Roasty, but not to that "fuller" feeling on the palate.

    Happy hump day, BAs! Finally checked out the brand new brewery in town: Outer Lights in Groton, CT. They had two of their year-round brews on tap:

    Lonesome Boatman amber ale. Really tasty! A super bready, almost spicy aroma; nice neutral, earthy hops and a bit of a roasty note on the palate.

    SUBduction IPA (hey, they're located 5 minutes from the Submarine Capital of the World, after all!). Quite good! Thick for an IPA; a nice blend of hops without being overly citrusy, overly tropical, or overly dank. Just nice and smooth all around.

    They've got a nice little lineup going on. I can't wait to try more of their stuff; what they have so far is, if not earth shattering, at least high quality.

    Back home now with an excellent nightcap.

    Thanks to @ford0626 for this one, been a couple three years. Hanging with my homie @egrace84 on a nice northwestern Illinois spring evening. Gonna go with the Washington connection with the music selection. Playoffs start tonight...Let's go Hawks!

    I was quite excited to come across this seeing as I've read such good things about it. Root beer is my non-alcoholic beverage of choice and to see (and read) that this is essentially root beer in beer form I had to buy a sixer. Boy, this is dangerous. And delicious.
