Thank dude.. I'm a huge egghead. I've got two eggs I cook on. Got a ghetto outdoor kitchen set up, and I get apeshit year round' cookin on them.
I'm probably better at cooking on a grill, or smoking meats than I am anything in life, seriously. It's the Texan way, just mashing up Texas smoking rules, with southern flair of GA/NC habits.
I cut the flap end of the spares, and cut a couple bones loose, along with the "flap" and have them cooking separate of the main show, extra bark!

You like to smoke meats/grill? This is a loaded question by the way.

Oh, and I'll have to find the place my brother works at.. He's in the culinary clique in Cincy and working at some places doing advisory type stuff.. He's into beer/food stuff, ya'll should meet up!

Did you buy the eggcesories or jus the egg? I grill all the time and been debating getting an egg. Use Webers charcoal grills now and dont feel i need more but heard great things about eggcesories for pizzas, rotisserie chicken, paellas, etc.

In fact im preparing some filets and lamb racks today, pics to come. Maybe thatll convince folks to do a WA Locals Share lol

We most definetly will. I say we fly to GB to see it. Maybe if we don't send out any boxes for 2 months we could save up enough to make that trip!

I really like to cook don't have an egg but my brother does he is the smoker. I grill a bunch and have/will attempt to prepare anything. Wife and I are pretty big foodies Cincinnati food scene has grown up a ton in the last 5 years. Especially small chef inspired restaurants.

Whenever I finally get around to going out to Seattle to visit my sister (she comes home to Philly often enough I haven't gotten out there yet) I will for sure include a day for some bottles with you.

I have eggs, and some of the stuff for them, but most of my stuff is aftermarket custom stuff, like raised grids, and smoke ware caps, and pit controllers that stoke my fire for me so I can sleep at night for 18 hr cooks.

The eggs are worth it, but it's probably overkill for most. I cook outside probably 2 nights a week, even in the winter, I think I cook outside from here till fall, probably 4-5 nights a week. I bake on it, I smoke on it, I grill.. I can cook my entire meal outsisde without heating up my house, which is the plus side in the summer.

The lifetime warranty on the grill is worth it as well. They aren't cheap by any means, but my wife even justified the purchases of two of them, solely because of how much we use them, and the fact I never have to buy anything for them from here on out. I also have a small minimax egg, I pack up and take to our house in western NC, so I can smoke up there on a smaller rig, rather than pulling out the huge barrel smoker and sidebox.

If you cook alot, and live outdoors like I do in the spring-fall, then seriously look at them. The Kamado Joes' are similar, and better priced, but not sure of the warranty. I went BGE, as I was used to them from my parents house, and I live in Atlanta metro, which is home to BGE anyways.

Beer, and BBQ are hard to beat, and you yanks don't get confused.. I'm talking BBQ, not grilling here.

Yeah, thats what my brother is into. He's looking to open a new place that does a planned dinner menu, and beer/wine pairings, and it's "chefs choice" type of dining. Ultra small get up, like 20-24 folks, and several courses and pairings.

I feel like with a lot of style, the American Craft Beer scene is catching up. I like Westy 12 more with age, than fresh, we did a vertical of them a few months ago, and honestly, the older the better. But I do feel that as a lover of Quads, there are some quality american made quads to rival the imports.

Place here in Seattle called Art of the Table does that. Tell your brother to check them out - massively successful. Havent been in a few years but it was literally the chef's house living room and dining room modified to accomodate ~40 guests/night . Dinner is at 7 and a set menu with wine pairings and some beer. Coolest thing was you could go into the kitchen with the chef while he was cooking (again, its his house so the layout is like most homes'). 6 courses i think, and before each course the chef would come out and tell us where he bought the ingredients THAT morning. Neatest lil' spot.

If you like quads, let me know.. I have what I consider one of the best new belgian breweries here in Atlanta. They have a quad, and a bourbon barrel quad that are so many levels of rediciously good, it's crazy.. They do however, have a belgian trained, or perhaps belgian brewer though.

    Three Taverns is the place.
