A long time ago at someplace I have forgotten, I first had harpoon IPA. That got me intrigued. I would have to say Resin might have driven it home though.

Stone IPA back in 2007. Pliny followed a couple of months later.

Funny Ruination was my first that I truly liked, kinda got stuck in a rut with it, Palate Wrecker made me want to experiment, Yellow Rose sucked me in.

American IPA? Gotta be Pike IPA over 20 years ago. I was speechless for days.

Had you had Anchor Liberty Ale or SN Celebration before then? Technically those were IPAs in flavor if not name for back then.

Years ago it was Green Flash West Coast IPA that started the descent into hop madness.

DFH 90 Minute was the first hoppy(to my tongue back then) beer that I could tolerate.

Torpedo is another beer I revisited recently and while still solid and enjoyable, I'm going to have to give a slight nudge to 60 Min. (I did this comparison because of my earlier comments).

In general I have found that I seem to like lighter colored IPAs vs. darker ones.

Stone IPA was my first, but I didn't get into them until I had Racer 5.
