Love this stuff during the warmer months, they really captured the frozen lemonade/Italian Ice flavor which to me sets this apart from the myriad of other shandies available.

Of course $8/6 pints is nothing to complain about either.

    Cheers!

I wasn't gonna have one before soccer, but I don't play until 6 and I just spent 2 hours weeding so, fuck it, I'm having one. And...this is awesome. @2Xmd I do agree with you, this is probably the better of the two. The Nelson was more of a dank, spicy IPA, where this is just a nice blend of citrus, pine and clean. Gotta love this hop! Thanks again, dude.
    See you all tonight.

Went to the park near home to picnic and watch some HS rowing. I think the Big 10 championship is here next weekend.

Been a very hoppy week for me, definitely an aberration; drank more IPAs in 5 days than previous 2 months combined. Although I did enjoy them all (Julius was delicious), my true love is German lagers:

Cross post from NBS. Wasn't very wowed by this one but I'm still glad I got to try it. Might seek out one of the higher abv variants.

this exceeded my expectations. not a lot of bourbon character but the barrel has seemingly increased the perceived sweetness and the typical fresh gratitude bitterness and rough edge is really smoothed out

gratitude has always been the american style barleywine to which i compare others against. this barrel aged version however feels more english than american

Jack's Abby Sunny Ridge, a fine and refreshing little pils. What with this brew and Troegs Sunshine Pils, I'm starting to think I'll dig any pilsner whose name references the only star that matters.

In the few minutes it took between snapping the pic, putting it up on a hosting site, and then bringing the link here, I've all but finished drinking this beer. I don't usually gulp 'em down so fast, honest Ma!

    Happy Sunday, folks!
