    Really really delicious, but did anyone else find this to taste more like a really high quality, bourbon barrel Belgian quad than a stout? Bonus Points : Did ANYONE who's had this and ALSO had River North's Barrel Aged Quandary find them to be almost IDENTICAL?

    The grass is mowed, the patio furniture is clean, and the weather is nice. Took my 5 month old to the park earlier. Just got back from picking up burgers for dinner which are marinating now and I'm relaxing and rehydrating with one of my summer staples...

    I've been on antibiotics trying to get through this dreaded Lyme, but I couldn't pass this up. I've never come across it in Upstate, so when I noticed it in the singles I became ecstatic. It's lovely to find CSTAVE in the middle of nowhere and even better not having to travel two hours away. Happy Sunday!

    Ya know, right time right beer. My mower deck just exploded. Cheap cast transfer shaft housings cracked. Both sides.... forced me to stop and do this. Replacement parts en route Tuesday...may as well chill.

    Took the kids to see The Avengers today. Did more landscsping work, yet still am staring at a bunch of stuff that needs done. Just called it a day to sit on the deck with the wife and enjoy the rest of this awesome evening. She is drinking a fuzzy navel wine cooler (told her I would make her a real one) I am finishing off the last of this Captain's Daughter with proper glassware thanks to @Roguer Extrememly medicinal fresh. I think it is actually better out of the can with some age. Got to share some with Ba @Keffa last night along with some Sip of Sunshine, 077XX, and a few new beers to both of us, including Boulevard Calling.

    My son's beerball game is over. Before moving on, just wanted to share (all you old timers on here will appreciate this) - met up with our long lost friend KangarooAdam at Troegs for about 3.5 hours of enjoying some fresh taps. Adam is passing through the area from Alaska, it was a good time. Troegs had a KILLER D-IPA on tap (small batch, brewery only) that could hold it's own with some of the heavy hitting D-IPA's, I was blown away by how good it was this needs to make it into their rotation and have to have at least two of these! ...

    Moved on to a collab with Appalachian and Pizza Boy called "717" (happens to be an area code for Central PA), a very interesting beer with nice tartness ...

    Going to crush a fresh growler of hoppy Perpetual with my neighbor in the Beer Garden, 'need to take advantage of this 80 degree weather today in PA!
