I would be up for a PL BIF, but I think you would need some interesting rules since realistically there are only going to be three real contenders for the title next year. Four if you count Arsenal I guess, but why would you ever do that? Not sure if and how they've been done here before.

 

So the locals 1.0 share was awesome. I'm a tiny guy and was able to try 45 different new beers (although as the night wore on some things were ~1oz pours, mainly the stouts because I wasn't trying to push it). Thanks so much to @Devman171 for hosting. It was awesome meeting new people and seeing some again. Thanks a ton to @JNForsyth for allowing me to carpool.


Of course, before the share really started to get seriously on its way, there were some beers that got exchanged. I only really set up one trade for the share (2x '13 BCBBW for 2x '14 BCBBW), the rest of the beers were either from the white elephant (the two HF beers and lights on) or just from generous BAs handing things out (the backwoods were from @LehighAce06) or from the Jester King box (seriously what an awesome gesture @rspauldi ). I didn't bring a ton to hand out but I did bring a few four packs of 717 ale and I know @PA-Michigander brought a 4 pack as well so I'm hoping everyone who isn't from this area was able to grab one (I just set them out and said anyone who wants to take one take one and eventually I didn't see any there)

It was an awesome day with awesome people for sure. Can't wait for a chance to open good beers with all of you again sometime in the (hopefully not so distant) future

All the stars aligned this weekend. After @Ncpogs, @Dave_Treat and I enjoyed lunch at Troegs, @PA-Michigander gave us heads up on a Pizza Boy Sour release at Arooga's in Hershey. He came over and met us for one before we headed over to Pizza Boy and finally hosted a share for us.



I grabbed titties this week...Ocelot stem in Sterling, VA ,Troegs Taster, 2 Tired Hands Teku's thanks to @devilfluff and a Lickinghole Creek snifter courtesy of @Dave_Treat.

and then....



The purpose of the trip was a bottle share. In which I had brought about 26 beers (a styro 12 shipper and 65lbs worth of luggage beer and a couple pair of undies). I came back with 27+ beers (styro shipper and 75lbs of luggage)

Local's Bottle Share 1.0....my hopefully brief enough synopsis:

What a great event and thanks again to @Devman171 and his wife for hosting us all, letting us stay late to watch the fight and smoking a pork shoulder which allowed us to make up some delicious sliders. He also donated beer and I believe was responsible for me ticking this delicious beauty...


I also want to thank all of the crazy bastards that sent beer into this share even though they were unable to attend. The share kicked off with this magnum which I have now had the please of tasting twice thanks to @Kramerbarthomer

@whyteboy003 who we all know is clinically insane decided to drop this bottle on us....



I also believe some gratitude needs to be tossed to the following @vitaminvert , @xICooRsYIx , @valrxman , @PassMeAZima and @rspauldi for sending stuff in without attending personally. To all of you I am certain I speak for everyone when I say thank you but next time I am tasting one of your bottles I hope to be able to shake you hand before and after doing so.

The share was great and certainly wore some folks out. This brew seen below was Mosaic DH Fort Point and one of our own locals had "thrown the towel in" on the Mayweather Vs Pacquiao dancing with the stars episode...eerrrrr fight



Another Local had a loud argument with a fellow who I thinks name was "Ralph" aka "Earl" outside. It would appear the local was most likely over served and I think he was able to work out his differences with Mr Ralph. After this "talk" he decided he was also throwing in the towel on drinking and switch to a "Push Up" contest with Greg. I am not sure who did more push ups however the winner of the push up contest was all of us who got to watch them....This also was more exciting than the boxing match that evening.....



In all is was a fantastic event that once again I have to take my hat off to @Devman171 for hosting. I was able to put a lot of faces with names and drink a lot of world class brew with even better people. I look forward towards our paths crossing again. Finally the only good morning I am sure any of us had was this courtesy of @Littlelotte88 . Another standout brew for me on the day that contained a lot of new ticks and familiar favorites.



Cheers you locals! I am so glad some D-bag decided to bring us all together roughly a year ago.

Can't really add to what drew reported above. One standout that he forgot to mention wad the G&M crab cakes he made picked up on the way down. Those we awesome. Erica's balls were fabulous, yes I just said that. Kevin's infamous guac wad great, at least before it became #notlehighfresh after 7 minutes

Outstanding time. Got to put names to faces to people we call friends, and have never seen before. Crazy group err are part of.

My two highlights came from my southern family, lp and fou. Close behind were the 2 lambic I win in the Fight Against Leukemia bif, and was honored to drink them alongside the others.

Thanks Devon for hosting. We owe you and the misses big time.
