Singlecut is making some pretty good IPAs in NYC, and they are nowhere near as hard to come by as Other Half's IPAs. If anyone wants anything from Singlecut, let me know. Easily available and reasonably priced. They come in pint bottles.

Agreed! A couple months ago I had Billy Full Stack and I thought it was great. Nice hop bomb with a malty sweetness on the back end. Great brew from NYC .

Back when I was a young man.................beers cans were made of steel and we couldn't do these fancy schmancy poses for our beer..............we drank our beer out of dirty mason jars and crushed the cans on our foreheads the way real men do. If we didn't have money for out beer we just left a note saying to "Send the bill to Big....Enos....Burdette"

This newfangled "magic" you do with the cans just makes my brain hurt........

    Lurks back out..........

I had tried some of Singlecut's older stuff (mostly Lagers) in the past and was never impressed, in the past few months I've tried 4 of their IPA's and they are now one of the few things I will actually purchase when I see it available (since I'm still working on drinking what's already in my possession). I think I've sent some of their beers to 5 different people with pretty much all positive (to different degrees) feedback.

Still planning on a brewery / baseball trip (they are about 3 miles from Citi Field) sometime soon...

Very true, but they seem to fly off shelves very quickly, so I'm pretty sure they're quite in Firestone Walker territory yet as far as old beers sitting around for months (or more likely, taking months to reach the shelves in the first place)

edit -- NOT quite in FW territory...

True, I just like the idea of bottling dates. I understand for smaller breweries it's an expense, but any large brewery should be doing it.

I have been sipping on this one for a while and, to me, it improves as it warms up. Thanks @Mikexw .

I keep those at cellar temp and drink them straight from there. In fact I like almost all of my stouts at cellar temp. I liked most of the ones I have had better as they have opened up (at least the high ABV big boys)

    Lurks back out....

There's that pork chop I was talkin bout earlier. Accompanied by a Jdubs Smoke Chunk Porter. Has a different smoke to it, I don't know what kinda smoke but it's pretty good.
