And in addition to plenty of coffee options, we'll also have refreshing teas from Summit Tea Company.

 

So they are letting us RS guys have a taste of BT Reserve just to let the HS guys hold it over our heads when they get it in bottles.

Almost kinda mean. =P

 

I wonder...while that is completely possible, Matt did say they were having some hoarders only pours at the event. Maybe thats one of them. They aren't doing a bunch like last year but he said they should be a couple.

 

Last year they had Hoarders Only pours. Not sure if that's how it is this year

 

Welp that would be even more mean. Hehehe. Maybe I will need to use sad puppy dog eyes on JoshBeerNow to get me a pour. <-- kinda like that but without the open mouth (more of a trembling chin) and huge anime eyes.

 

It would be pretty vicious to post it a Hoarders-only pour on the Reserve Society Facebook group.

 

It seems strange that they would post Black Tuesday Reserve on the Reserve Society FB page, without even a qualification that its a Hoarders only pour.

For what its worth I know The Bruery does pour Hoarders beers occasionally at some events. For example they were pouring Blue BBLS at the Shelton Bros Festival last year.

I'm hoping to get a pour of that Black Tuesday Reserve.

And it turns out to be the case that they allow RS members to get a pours of Black Tuesday Reserve, then I would bet that will have something special set aside for Hoarders only too.

 

But, it would make sense that a Hoarders only release is only being poured for Hoarders. Right?

 

There is no hoarders FB page so they this is how they are announcing it, it does make since.

I'll see Matt tomorrow at OC beer fest and I'll ask him and report back.

And yes, of course I will get some pours for peeps if it is in fact hoarders only.



And yes, your correct about hoarders only beers at events. They tried to bring Melange 9 to OC Brew HA HA last year but accidently grabbed the wrong keg and brought humulus...what a downer that was

 

Hey Josh,

Yes, we are planning a couple surprises for Hoarders Society members in the first hour - not necessarily all in the form of HS-only beers, but delicious surprises nonetheless! Once the rest of the guests get in at 1:00, all beers will be available for everyone to order.

Any word on what the abv on BT reserve is? I would have to imagine that it broke 20%

 

Last I heard was they are expecting above 20% but that was months ago when I asked...and it was just an educated guess.
