Ha, I didn't like it enough to trade for more of them. But enough that I'll actually drink the last two bottles I have (soon though).

I had it on draft when it first came out and from a bottle stored in the fridge a few weeks/a month later - both were fine.

Pretty sad to read this as I had high hopes to land a few in trade. Not anymore. We've seen bad DR beers before in the store, we had a case of Brown Ale start foaming from the caps and once opened every single bottle gushed horribly, with an odor that I can only describe as death. Had a few people report too bad bottles of Milk Stout and Baltic. I guess I echo the sentiments of everyone that there's really no need to keep buying their beers if they're such a crapshoot. Sucks because a lot of them, in true form, are excellent beers.

This is what kills me. When I first got into craft beer, I was enamored with their Milk Stout. And the Baltic Porter -- when it's not infected, of course -- seriously might be a top five beer for me. I buy at least a case every year. Rabid Duck, which just started landing on store shelves, is excellent.

But you know what they say: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

I spotted Rabid Duck yesterday, and was taking a step toward the sixer when I froze. "What the hell am I thinking?"

Had another bottle of Anarchy last night and it was the worst one yet. Like someone mixed a sour beer and soy sauce together.

Would it kill the brewery to at least acknowledge it and try to make it right, as Intuition Ale Works did today?

Agreed. I also notified them via Facebook. Dead air.

I'm done with them. They make good beer, occasionally, and if it isn't infected. I swear I've tasted infection a number of times in their milk stout. I'm done with them until I hear from others that they can manage to make uninfected beer.

I can't say that I blame you guys - but I had a bottle of Anarchy over the weekend and thought it was great. In fact, I've yet to have one I thought was off. Maybe I just got lucky - probably three sixers of it in total - all good.

I'm drinking one this evening. I really enjoyed the only infected one I've tried so far

And that's what kills me. Like I said before, I am a huge fan of several of their beers when they aren't infected, but I can't in good conscience continue buying them -- especially if the brewery is not willing to own up to their mistakes.

Just drank one. Infected for sure, I could tell it was a stout. it was tart with a lot of red wine flavor. It really was delicious though

If you're in Charlotte, I'll give you my remaining two bottles!

I've actually only had one bottle that was infected thus far. Unfortunately, it was the latest bottle I had, so I have little hope for the 2-3 that I have left.

Absolutely. I was staying away from Duck Rabbit prior to Anarchy but heard good things, so I tried Anarchy on tap, thought it was awesome and tried my damnedest to drink through the whole keg. Procured some bottles and of course it completely bit me in the ass. I'm just tired of it.

You'll regret that decision in 5 years when this is the hottest sour stout on the trading forums.

Just popped one open. Yup. Infected. Bummer. I really enjoyed the non-sour version.

Like many of you, I reached out via email and left a note of their Facebook page. Here's the response I got this morning...

"I sincerely apologize for the bad experience you had with our Barrel Aged Anarchy. That surely wasn't the intent from us. I wanted to let you know that I have received both your email and the post on our FB. I have given this information along to the right people up here for them to look into."
