There are a lot of reasons to love lagers, and surely one of them is how damn good they look. Like liquid gold, with an ever enduring, pillowy head. Something satisfying about NB's pils here.

Working on this and sprucing up the gardens. A cool but peaceful morning with just me, my beer, and the birds singing away. A million miles away from responsibility......

Afternoon, BAs! Here's what I'm drinking now:

    Sixpoint Bengali

And here are some pics from last night (as promised, it was too late to post):

HF Excursions #3 - IPA with Equinox. Unbelievably dank.

    Yum!

HF Conduct of Life - APA with Citra and Amarillo.

    Treehouse Eureka ABA with Galaxy.

Narragansett Lovecraft Honey Ale. Very sweet, but tasty.

The show was a blast, and the food and drink at Armsby Abbey was top-notch, as always.

    Cheers, BAs!

I'm drinking the same thing I was yesterday. Finishing a growler of Kuhnhenn DRIPA. I'm fine with that.

Had one of these a few weeks ago. Still wish it had a brewed-on date. Was okay but obviously past its prime.

This, however, I don't think is capable of being past its prime, unless you've held it in the trunk of your car for like 10 years, and even then I'd still try it.

And all that cloudy IPA and black-as-pitch stout needs some music that's just as dark and turbid.

Visited my local Quest Brewery last night and they were gracious enough to fill my 32oz. growler with their Cruzan Rum Barrel-Aged Kaldi Imperial Stout even though it was supposed to be pint only! Moral of the story... play dumb?

Day off. Played a round of golf with my best friend Alan. He didn't play well (to his standards) and I played great (to my standards), so we tied. I took this beer picture at lunch, having drunk most of my Torpedo before I realized I wanted to take a picture. Alan had a Smithwick's.

Came home after lunch, mowed the lawn, and opened this, from Stark Brewery in Manchester, NH. One of the best scotch ales I have ever had!

I would like to know what you think of the Dead Rise. I love it but then again I love Old Bay. I think you can definitely taste it in the beer.

    Lunch. =) Good day today.
I think your first impression is I am going to have a very savory experience. Then you do. It's pretty balanced overall and does make one crave hush puppies and lobster. It's earthy, has a sour finish though and the hop bitter too. Otherwise I think it's well done and easy to see why people like it. It's peppery. =)
