And Al keeps poking the bear putting a post on FB about a beer called Haters Tears aged in white wine barrels and Kleenex and Sour Grapes.

    Cut your losses.

True, though I'll also pay more for a raspberry wild ale than I will for a pale ale, even if I think the pale ale is probably 'better' (whatever that means when trying to compare two vastly different styles). Because I know that the raspberry wild ale actually does cost more to produce.

I'll top that. 2 cases of Yuengling cans!

    :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm obviously a beer connesuir by the company I keep. But, I'm not such a snob that I won't drink anything off the shelf. Now and again I still enjoy a can of macro-swill. It scratches a different itch.

But I passed a liquor store this morning with a banner that read Yuengling case, $13.99, loose cans. I thought about that for a second when I put my Reserve Society order in. I bought 8 bottles of beer, and spent roughly the equivalent of 13 cases of Yuengling. Jesus, that makes us sound kinda nuts...

Yeah, makes you wonder a bit haha

On that note... if I'm at a bar that doesn't have a craft beer I feel like having or have IPAs that are likely old, I have no problem ordering a yuengling. Doubt you'd ever see me order a miller/bud/coors (I'd just get a mixed drink) though

Damn you and your one-upmanship. And I agree....sometimes I doubt my choices of beer, but then I recall quality is better than quantity. Except for when I go to a NASCAR race with my old friends. Then it's just quantity :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

Some days, when I am just not feeling like a 23% Chocolate, coconut, vanilla, maple, orange, wild fermented belgo-inspired-American-Influenced French wild ale with brett strain code-name XXX Triple barrel aged in a vermouth barrel, then a gun barrel, then a barrel that had formerly held a flower bed I reach for an ice cold yuengling light and life is just good. No shame here. Or a single malt scotch. Matters on the mood.

Enjoy Steve. Only one of the bunch I haven't had yet was the blackberry (opening a bottle with a friend this weekend). I've had a taste (3oz or so) of Colossus, though it was an older batch. Definitely a strong one. '14 Retribution is pretty good right now, had one about a month ago, though it was my first time having the beer so I didn't have anything to compare it to

Sweet box.....Not to thread jack, but I've got an extra (or maybe two extra) ADWTD I picked up. Was gonna hit the viper pit, but thought better. If anyone needs one let me know. I'll hook a brotha (or sista) up.
    Cheers

Ya'lls Yeungling is our Shiner. Can get it everywhere and will order if I'm hard up. Otherwise it's iced tea or red wine.
