Looks like a perfect match for tailgating.

This will not be hoppy enough and it should be an Oktoberfest IPA instead.

    :grinning:

I love Oktoberfest's and enjoyed last year's, can't wait for this year's! And I'll mention this once again: so happy to see SN doing so much more than IPAs these days and making some fantastic beers in the process!

I loved the Oktoberfest and the Vienna Lager last year... Sixers of either one would be amazing... Or a mixed 12 pack of both... I'm already ready for the fall seasonals., early? Yep.. Can't help it... I love them

Nice idea to partner with a German brewery with great heritage for consumers to enjoy on a more widespread scale!

I assume this will be different than the Oktoberfest they have released in the past?

Riegele actually makes a really nice imperial stout (Noctus 100) and pale ale (Simco 3),next to the traditional german styles

Yeah, I would love to have a glass on draft. Not sure about a whole sixer. Would buy a bomber.

Bill, are you able to confirm the Fall pack makeup yet -- SNPA, I assume, plus Vienna and...? Flipside and Oktoberfest? Or something else?

I'll be really interested in seeing the path they are taking with this beer once the specs and ingredients are released. Brauhaus Riegele is a top notch brewery in my book, their pilsner Herrenpils is superb and their pale export lager Commerzienrat is damn tasty, as is their Dunkel.

Hmm. I'm slightly piqued, given that it's a collaboration with a German brewery - albeit one I have not had the opportunity to try any offerings from.

However, given that I tried and hated both the Vienna Lager and Kellerweis hefeweizen for the same reason (too hop-forward for my tastes), and have been advised that if I didn't like those I should avoid the Oktoberfest, I'm also somewhat disinclined to try this one.

    Hmm.

Wow -- really? Those are 2 beers from SN that I don't find too hop-forward to-style. Good thing you steered clear of the Okto, it definitely was too hoppy (to-style).

To that, I'm going to gamble that this new Okto may be more traditional -- maybe closer to a Wies'n Fest. But I have my reservations because the German brewery is known for "taking chances." I'm still intrigued.

Indeed, I live a sad life. Pretty much all I experienced with those beers was a mouthful of perfume. I'd love to have liked them.

Hearing that the German brewery likes gambling, I may sit this one out, at least until I see some reviews on it. Hopefully it's more towards the traditional bent!

Bill mentioned in another thread that Flipside will be in there, so I will assume Tumbler will be the fourth and the lineup will be SNPA, Flipside, Vienna, Tumbler. Sounds like a great pack to me, if so!

Nice little mix -- I can dig it! Love these variety packs lately. Summer is kolsch, pale ale, hefe, and pils. Fall could very well be pale ale, red ale/ipa, vienna lager, and brown ale. I can deg dig that.
